It would certainly help, but that alone wouldn't be enough. At this point, it will take an entire societal reset to revamp the dating market and get vv0men to change. When the power grid goes down and there is chaos in the streets, vv0men will change their tune very quickly.
It will make a slight difference, but not a big difference. Prostitution is legal in a lot of European countries. Most men who go to prostitutes are old men, late 40s and up I assume. Most younger guys don't so it changes nothing. Most of dating happens in the younger ages, especially with the goal of marriage and kids, so prostitution will have little effect on there. What old people do is kind of irrelevant.

What those women called "pink tax" is no more than companies marketing products as female-centered and tricking them into buying those over the generic product, because they know those marketing tricks work on females way more than it does on males. Old guy here. It’s Complicated is the BEST channel on uTube that describes, exposes, and gets to the heart of female nature! Why you ask? Because just by inquiring with simple questions, he gets very honest answers about how men and women think, feel, and their thought processes.
I believe this man, the interviewer has read the Bible and/or gone to law school or something like it. Anyone familiar with the Bible, or in particular, the New Testament, could see the pattern here. When confronted, Jesus would always ask questions to people in order to draw out their answers. If that person came to a particular answer, it was because it was formed in their own mind. Instead of giving people answers or arguing with them, He would lead them to their own conclusion.
It’s a method to convince someone using that person’s own logic or reasoning. This man of “Its Complicated” has studied a lot, it seems to me, of this method of conversation. One of the best examples of his mastery of it was when he was talking to 2 young women discussing the alleged pay gap in the WNBA.
I recall his questions when this way.
1) he asks the 2 women if there was a pay gap in the WNBA, that is why the female basketball players are paid less and if that’s fair. They both were adamant there was and it wasn’t fair or right.
2) to counter their claim he then asked them to name the most famous female actress they could think of. They responded with answers like Drew Barrymore or Geena Davis.
3) then he asked them if they made a movie, would you pay money to go see it? Yes they both responded.
4) he then inquired, if she made the movie with an unknown male actor, should she be paid more than the unknown because she brings more value to the movie? Oh yes, definitely they both wholeheartedly agreed.
5). He then asked, isn’t this a similar situation that the NBA/WNBA is in due to value that the men bring to the game?
The look on those 2 women’s faces was one of the most “deer in the headlights” moments I have ever seen because it was REAL, not faked like in the movies. As I recall, neither of those 2 women had an answer, but you could see the squirrels running around in their brains trying to come up with a reasonable or logical response. It opened my eyes to where I could see that a lot of women say they want equality, but will remain silent when the double standard benefits them. It’s like the saying “Privilege is invisible to those to have it.”

Why they adopted them has a wide variety of reasons and sources but fundamentally when confronted by the cognitive dissonance of having your assumptions revealed to be faulty it is an admirable person who can simply on the spot go, " maybe I am wrong" it is much more normal to struggle and stumble with the hope that eventually they will see a need to improve.
