My little boy just brought home his first reading book from school called “Nip Nip”, illustrated by your good self! I was very excited to see one of your books in the wild 😂👍🏻

Love that! That was a Phonics book - I think I was only allowed the letters SATPINMD in the whole story! It's more like sudoko than writing!😆 Say hello from me!

@@shooraynerdrawing He loved it and managed to read his first few words! Thanks Shoo! 🙏🏻😊 We were very impressed that you created such an engaging narrative within the strict confines of phonics!

I love this lesson. My daughter wants to write a children’s book about her 3 girls and wants me to illustrate it. Do I try to make the girls look like they really do - I’d like to find a way to illustrate them without having to draw an exact look a like through out the story.

You can make them look alike but better to use them to "inspire" your characters. It's hard to keep characters consistent so it's easier to handle if you simplify them. It's hard to turn a family story into a story that's got universal appeal. You have to sort of let the family go and put the story first. It doesn't matter if it isn't l" true to the story that inspired it" it's the quality of story that matters- unless you actually want to do a family story just for the family. I'll hve a think about a video for you.

@@shooraynerdrawing I think her idea is to make a book for family and friends- more of a keepsake of when the girls are little and telling funny stories about them. Than you for responding to my question. I always look forward to your videos.
