I went to my hometown last weekend for my birthday. Between all those memories of home and the reminder of my age I'm reminded of how much my life is not where I want it to be. Urges came back with a vengance. Today is day 141, zero relapses since starting, but this is still not easy.

no special benefits...but my laziness is gone..and now I am more dedicated to my work.
Still going strong on day 16. Never thought I get this far & I guess I did. This week has been a tug of war mainly since my mine was saying look at something which I ignore by playing games or editing something which usually keeps me really focused. Still fighting the good fight brothers.
I'm on day 20 and nearly relapsed. The last days were good but today was hard.

So I'm going to be real & say no I failed on day 23 which I am ashamed to say but Am happy at the same time mainly because ever since I was a teenager I was only able to make it to 6 or 7 day of Nofap but as an adult where I want to change I was able to make it to day 23 which in my book is the farthest I have ever gone. I'm still not giving up because we all fall short but we get better with trial and error as we progress.
So I still have aways to go to get it right.
@@testo5370 My thinking was in the wrong place & fooling myself that looking at pictures wouldn't hurt but that is how the mind tricks people almost like bait luring them into a trap & next thing you know boom it gotcha. That's why I failed. I didn't want to fail but my thinking & me alone just messed up & regrets it.

@@Rick51 Knowing deep down things will get better, staying busy. I have eliminated all forms of pictures of sexy women, even fully clothed. I read, I study, and I don't allow myself to be bored.

Keep going guys. I’m on day 105 and life never felt this better. Now I can see sound and hear light lol. Tbh you won’t see such changes but you will definitely see some differences in yourself and your way of thinking. You will be taking much more logical decisions and won’t be driven by desires. It will change your life no cap.

I think you've given a very clear and accurate description of how nofap can change one's life. It definitely makes us more goal-driven since it takes the goal of releasing yourself from the addiction to get off it in the first place.

This is basically my story too. Gary Wilson said that the reason this happens is because the brain is trying to build new dopamine pathways, for PMO in the 2 through 4th weeks. Good video!

I'm on day 36, my longest streak has been 62 days. It's never worth the relapse, my goal is to make it to day 120.

If I would set 6 months goal at that very beginning, I don't think it would be that easy and I could make it
do it for a long period why just 4 months

The testosterone spike does wonders i see, thats one of the main reasons im doing nofap
@@armoredlumberjack1999 Lol no fap doesn't increase your testosterone or spike it, other than on day 7 temporarily for a short time period. Also this guy increasing his bench is because of just being consistent with the gym and training, no fap makes no difference on strength gains.

I've quit for good because I came clean with my partner who was very supportive. All the time I felt I was hiding a problem and feeling ashamed, I never thought of sharing my negative experiences. I basically invalidated the PMO and it instantly had no more value and therefore I quit for good.

for people with depression or with past trauma it can take longer or when it can't come back naturally it needs new stimuli.
my wife had this problem after she stopped her medication. she told me she can't feel happiness anymore. We tried some new hobbies and one of them worked, after a time she had still less dopamine than normal people, but it is recovering little by little.

@@andresbeni00 it depends how you are feeling. Think of it sometimes you have a good day, a bad day, and sometimes you have a flatline day.
on a good day she was able to play games or go for a walk or sing a bit to feel relieved/better
for me: I go for a run or hit the gym
on a bad day she had to do something which would give her normally a high dopamin boost: for her reading mangas, tidy up the flat/house (a light work where you see you accomplished something)
for me: I do sport, martial arts, thats my relieve. You don't need to beat someone up. the higher concentration is the key. Or I work on a small project with a goal I would accomplish normally in not more than an hour
when she had a flatline day, nothing worked to boost her mood. The goal was to relax her.
What helped best was to set her mind at work on full capacity. For her it was drawing. She often needed so much concentration and silence I had to leave the house. but 1-2 hours later she was often as relaxed as if having a good day.

Not really one relapse will not “do harm” but if you are addicted you will binge and start relapsing 5 times a day now that’s going to day 0 if you relapse just keep going from day 0 again but this time instead of needing to take 90 days your true reboot will happen let’s say day 60 will be your actual day 90

@@NivedvManoj constantly in 2020, started nofap 24th of December 2020 started 90 day streak started April 30th 2021, had 53 day streak after. Aug 23 I had a 1 week streak, did the thing at least 20 times sep 1st, had 3 week streak, never could go more than 2 weeks since. Never tried self improving much the past 2 months, did very slightly better in the summer.

After 17 good days, one slip does not destroy all the good progress. It's another matter if it's a real heavy "binge relapse".

That's why NNN doesn't work you need to know the root that pushes you to watch adult sites when you were a kid and delete it from your subconcious mind
