What an awesome video! So real life…funny as hell! Great job brother
Thanks for watching
Hi Duf ,I just finished putting my huge tyres on my mini pro ,,and i did the same thing you did ,and the fisrt tyre ,i thought
i am not gonna take any shit from this , and i popped the tyre on the wheel straigh away and i was so happy for a second i thought thats perfect and not that bad of a job to do then i went to spin the wheel ,and ha ha just the same as you did and
by the time i got the dam tire off again back to square one ,i was getting hot and then i put on one side and this time i put some fabric around the wheel so that it could not go over the wheel again ,but this time getting the other side of the wheel on was a huge bugger and i hurt my bloody fingers so much i went hopping round my place then had to run it under the cold tap it was a real pig of a job i really got mad at it i had to i had my feet on it my hands my chin all my spanners i was like a possessed octopus and i was not happy
then i had to do the other wheel ,,,, i had to have a beer and a coffee ,
it is easier if you put the fabric between the first side of the tyre and the wheel to stop it from that again cos that is heart breaking ,i did swear i can tell you
it was so hard to get them on but i did get them on horay
but its all done now .i will get to ride them in the morning
can not wait ,
Glad you were successful, eventually!
Some small tire irons are very handy. Thanks for the video. Have fun.
I had zero fun in this project.
@@Duf I bet you'll be better at it the next time. It can be a total PITA for sure.
Doh.. some people seem to have it and some people seem to have it farmed out. I have a mini otw. Looks like an mten tire? Oh it would be so nice if its those playdoh mtens. I have some scooter tires that may work for the mini and that would leave those for my mtens. Looks like fun. Thanks for another vid!
You got it bud.
Motocycle Tire Levers Are the Answer!!! LOL!!!
I have some, now.........
I'm so excited to see how bigger tires will affect the speed and range of mini pro..
By the way, If you had used a vise to squeeze the tires, it would be done more easily.. I saw a video from a guy who used zip ties to do that.. so, I used a vise.. :D
If I were you, I would try using the superglue with baking soda on the damaged threads.. According to some CZcams videos, the baking soda hardens the superglue 3 times stronger and makes it more water and fire resistant.. and this method worked well for my broken mini pro knee-bar(used with duct tape) and hanging stainless racks on the tile wall without anchor bolts(but still feel uncomfortable with heavy objects on racks though).. etc.
I am curious as well to see how performance changes with the larger tires. Superglue and baking soda??? I never heard of that but I would worry it would make removal very difficult in the future?
LHROPA 85/65-6.5 10“ will this tire size fit mini pro with out having to take off or modifying fender?? thanks.
Probably not
i thought so , thanks, im hesitant to fiddle with that plate that holds the motor wheel as i dont want to make an error like some folks have done and brick the motor or strip a screw from improper mount so i order the originals to keep it simple. anyways i got an smax and i ordered the comfort tires for it so im dandy. dang hex screws are going to need to hire someone who specializes in stubborn screws as they are jammed on. and updating my segway app lost my mini pro data. fudge💩 nuggetz
What can I do for make start my Ninebot mini s?, I push start button and no do nothing.
Check the battery
There are many tires similar to this on amazon but they do not say tubeless and they come with a tube.. Im just curious does that matter? or will they work just fine without the tube like this tire?
I can't answer that with 100% certainty. All I know is the stock Minipro tire was tubeless and so was the Monster tire we replaced it with.
@@Duf thanks for the reply i actually found out. It does matter. it must be a tubeless tire and the wheel must be tubeless as well. For anyone out there wondering maybe this will be helpful.
Can you send the direct link to purchase those exact tires?
I couldn’t find them on the link in the description you provided.
Quick question are these tubeless tires? Or do they require an innertube?
They are tubeless here is the link - www.pccmotor.com/misupobiscat.html
First link is a slick, this looks more like mine - www.pccmotor.com/90titetu4749.html
Amazon has as well - amzn.to/2IuYYq4
hey there where did you get the maintenance stand from?
I make them, the link is in the description.
OMG my segway minipros tires were so easy to change.. Did the first with bare hands.. the second I needed 2 spoons..
Try a rear motorcycle tire... Now thats HARD!
Yea the stock tires are easy to change, these big tires suck...
@@Duf I meant the big tires.. but mine are knobby and yours look stiff AF..
May i know what size of that bug tire?im interested😊
Mototec Pocket Bike Tire (90/65-6.5) Link is in video description, it looks like Amazon doesn't have that particular model but you can find the same size with another brand.
Where can I get the different colored parts for the hub cap! I really want them for my daughter
They were 3D printed, I don't sell them anymore but I think others do.
@@Duf is there any way u can send a link or at least let me know what to google cuz I can’t seem to have any luck just the regular colors if not no worries thank you and I’ll come up with something
What size are these. Were can I get them
Link is in the description. I don't think Amazon has them anymore but you can get the size specs and find them elsewhere.
Hi. How do you remove plastic wheel cover from ninebot s? Thanks
Pop the side LED lights out first.
Thanks
Where did you get the purple hub blades?
3D printed them :)
Can you make some of those caps in florsent yellow? Please
No sorry I am not selling them.
Half the fun of owning these devices to customizing them, and making them more personalized, more one's own. I wouldn't be surprised to see you get some more speed out the the Mini Pro with the larger tires, but I think the extra energy you'll burn turning the larger tires will eliminate the possibility of a range gain.
Yea it will be an interesting comparison for sure. We will try to do our tests this weekend.
Question, I have stage 4 cancer, terminal. would this be something I could use in my yard 1 acre. Looking for something that can help me get around outside better. But not cost me thousands of dollars.
Well first off I am very sorry to hear about your condition that is very tough. The MiniPro's are able to go off road pretty well, the only thing I would be concerned about is if your yard is uneven the knee based steering could be tricky. If you bump the knee bar accidentally it could send the MinPro into an unexpected direction. However with practice you learn how to anticipate that. As far as learning how to ride it on flat surfaces, it only takes 15 minutes or less to get the basic control down.
Not a steep incline, just gentle rolling slopes. just want to walk my mini dachshund.
it would be nice if you give us a follow up video on the speed increase
There is a video where we "race" the normal tire MiniPro versus the Monster tired one. The bigger tires won the race and seem to have around a 1 mph top speed difference.
That was hilarious, and of course I totally relate. Funny that my bike shop said the same thing - two guys struggling to get it on. Probably a good thing that you had Cindy ask them. They'd probably refuse to do it for you, knowing the work that's involved ;-)
Those tires really do look massive and give the MiniPro a more aggressive look. Curious to see it rides differently.
Yea I knew it would be a struggle but not THAT much struggle. I will try to do some interesting performance comparisons. BTW I have been looking at more and more One Wheel videos.....
I couldn’t help from laughing myself, and I felt kinda bad for turning you onto them! I honestly put them on myself in about 30 minutes. As I mentioned, if you want them on your other Minipro we’ll meet up for a ride and I’ll install them for you. Might cost you lunch though...
If anyone out there uses a rachet strap on the tire to help set the bead BE SURE TO DEFLATE THE TIRE AFTER THE BEAD IS SET BEFORE RELEASING THE RACHET STRAP! My dumb ass didn't do this last nite when I put my new off road tires on and I almost took my finger all the way off when it shot off and hit me in my knuckle from an inch away. 22 stitches and a nite in the ER later here I am turning my mistake into something positive from speaking as someone who learned the hard way to be credible advice to prevent someone else from having to learn the way I did. Our biggest failures become our greatest attributes when we our humble enough to do this for others. Be safe everyone and please take this warning serious and don't make the same mistake. At least I got my tires on lmao.
Much love
🐇White Rabbit 🐇
Oh man, how high was the PSI when you released the strap? When I did it, it popped back but nothing nearly as violent as you describe. Hope you heal up soon bud.
@@Duf it was up there probably around 70-80psi and it was a really good rachet strap so it had a hard core metal bracket on it and a double release on it too. The double release was what really screwed me because I had to use both hand to undo the pull up release sliders on both side after I laid the bracket flat to undo it. Got me right in back of my right index finger and the knuckle below it. It felt like I got hit with an axe at full swing damn thing came at me like it was shot out of a cannon lol. I'm old school too I should've damn well known better but was not giving it my full attention like I should have. I'm an EMT so I patched it up like a champ fast and went n got it proper fixed. This is the fifth set of tires I've put on my Segway mini prop and I am number one in the world for total miles on one of these as far as I know. I've logged over 5000 miles on a mini pro and taken it from to the southernmost point in the US to 12,000 ft up forestry roads in the Rockies. If I can make this mistake anyone without this much experience can even easier so I felt it was important to post what happened on all the posts teaching this. Like I said originally a mistake becomes an attribute if we use the experience to prevent others from misfortune.
I got another attribute woohoo! Lol plus pain is good it lets you know you're not dead yet 👍
Much love

Hey, the seller in your description which was only selling it for 25 dollars is out of stock. do you know of any other stores that will have it for a similar price? it just doesn't seem worth it to pay 45 dollars to buy it from the amazon link.
Unfortunately I do not.
@@Duf www.amazon.com/65-6-5-Slick-front-2-stroke-Pocket/dp/B01N10XYO5/ref=sr_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=90%2F65-6.5+Tire&qid=1601565355&sr=8-12 will this one work? Im just not sure if the tire has to be "tubeless" or all the options im seeing with tubes will work..
Do you have any socials I could use to reach out to you? An email address would be more convenient though, I hope you see this.
eucarmy.com gets you there
Bar clamps work great to hold the bead/tire together...
Good suggestion.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend these days :)
@Aaron Jeffrey Yea, I've been watching on instaflixxer for since november myself :)
@Aaron Jeffrey Yea, I have been watching on instaflixxer for months myself :D
@Aaron Jeffrey definitely, been watching on instaflixxer for years myself :D
لو سمحت هوا تصين اسكوتر عند حضرتك
Yes
Fingers were all buss I bet. Mahalo
Silicone spray works much better for tire beads, plus no moisture inside tire or rim…
Good tip
put that bad bolt in first and it should catch..
trying to get a minipro
You can get them for around 500 bucks I think?
been looking on local offer sites to pick up a slightly used one
The other day I happen to be watching this youtubered who spend a few hundred to modify a razor escorted just to increase the range at the end of the video he asked himself was it worth.my point is these manufacturers should leave room for improvement on there product
I agree.
I just watched a video on how you failed. Thanks 🙏
Most of my videos have the same theme!
Anyone watching, keep your mini pro stock, save time, money, frustration, don't strip your screws out you need them all, you also need your fenders to keep your feet from hitting the tires, the stock tires ride the best. Common sense is not Common.
Although the tire swap itself was pain in the ass, we have had no regrets about the upgrade. Better speed, better clearance.
@@Duf if it was better it would have come this way. This encourages others that may not be able to afford to fool around taking unnecessary chances. If you had a specific clearance problem you might have just learned to go around it. Retired smog test and repair mechanic, do we need laws to reduce waste? Have an advisory notice, Do not try this at home. It works if you had to. Not recommended. Reduces your resale value. If your old tires were worn out and you had these laying around and wanted to save money then cool if not fool. Not a hater. I rebuke as many as I love.
@@rcpenny10 dude don’t be ignorant, please!
OMG - Has this guy ever put on a tire before? He made it look hard - it's not.
I have done a number of tires. Have you ever tried this combo/size, if not, you should.
@@Duf I owned a tire store, I've mounted tires of every type. If he had trouble, it's because he doesn't know what he's doing. As I said.
@@seattleblaze you owned a tire store you goof; it better be easy for you. have you ever interacted w people before without being rude and obnoxious? it's not that hard.
wrong tires. These tires designed for a scooter with a round profile to allow it to maintain road contact when turning. Segway tires are always vertical requiring more square-flat profile
Yes they are scooter tires but after having them on for almost a year at this point I can report that they do the job.
oh yeah i got my wheels and nice big new fenders that fit the mega wheels of of a web ite called more4mini .com
and i live in England UK and they got to me in 5 days which is awesome .cos i think its a company in the USA
check them out they do the fenders in white and in black
ps that for posting his video .i only watched it after i did the upgrade all alone ,i seriously need all my madness and brutality to get them on ,it was very difficult i'd say its a easy 9 out of ten difficulty job
hope its worth it
It was an extremely brutal process for me. :)
more4mini is in Latvia, Europe.
you took the FENDERS OFF
I later put on More4Mini big fenders.
When you HV them slow leaks fill them with foam ,no more problem ever
pitiful..... no offense brother, but I have changed several and they just aren't hard to do at all.... I don't get it.
These were SUPER stiff but I don't doubt your ability to succeed where I failed.
You, should never be allowed anywhere within 5 miles of any kind of tool. It's just not your thing. Maybe you should consider something like crochet or needlepoint.
I agree
hi shawn i made a youtube
I heard, I'll check it out and SUB!
Haha .....they lied to u to make u feel like a man....haha
That must be it!
Low profile tires are hard to put on any kind of rim because the side wall doesn't flex. Bicycle repair shops will have a tough time as well because they're not used to putting on these types of tires. Your best best is to go to a motorcycle/ATV repair shop/mechanic as they deal with low profile tires all the time. Auto tire shops deal with low profile tires too. Either of the two will get the tires on faster without causing damage to tire bead or rim. Good luck
Hopefully I don't need to repeat this anytime soon.
