*Do you like to camp? Growing up, we always tent camped & I loved it!! But having a camper now, has made it a whole new experience! Let me know any camping tips/tricks that you’ve found over the years?!*

Yes! Keep the eggs in a mason jar, and you can get plastic screw on lids at Walmart!
Also make breakfast burritos, sooo easy! Wrap in foil and freeze!
After living in a camper for 2 years I can truly say NO CAMPER TRIP anytime soon. We used to go camping over long weekends and really enjoyed it. We would meet up with friends and go boating and then throw the food together and let the kids go for it. I loved the idea of cooking before leaving home because it is so much better and you get to relax and enjoy the fun. We would play cards and the kids would do whatever. Enjoy your alone time Amanda. Take a long bubble bath and relax. You deserve it. Hope you have a wonderful Mother's day. Let the guys have their time and you enjoy yours. Kyle you and the boys don't go to wild. Till next time.😊
No, we didn't got go camping when I was little, but we did take off & go on short trips. Sometimes, we slept in the car or got a cheap motel that was around $6 a night. We like to have our bed & a bathroom inside & save by not getting a camper. My Mom didn't want to have to cook. We probably brought some snacks with us. We had fun too! My husband & I feel the same way. We would rather spend money for the hotel & have food delivered tour room. it's too expensive to have buy a camper & use it once 😢 then sits there for years. Our neighbor has one right on his property line next to ours. It's bad, they maybe used it twice since they moved here & that's at least 10 to 15 years ago! Sorry, I'm just saying how we felt. I hope they had a great time! 😅 Hope you had a good time too! I would just relax & watch movies etc. Thanks for sharing! 🫂☺️♥️🐾🐾🦉🪴🦋🌹✨️
We had many wonderful camping trips when our kids were younger--they're now in their mid to early 20's. This makes me miss those days🙂

We’ve been camping in Arizona for 40 years. We started with a tent,pop up camper and now a RV camper. We go 4-5 times a year. This year so far The Superstitions and Roosevelt Lake so far. Next is the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and then our favorite place in Colorado for fall!! I love the egg idea and the holder for utensils and plates. Where are your designations this year?? I love camping, haven’t done much since I was a kid… though this week, I’m getting my cute new motorhome. I’m so excited for future ventures.
I love using chocolate cookies for s'mores, it's so easy. The Celebrations brand cookies work great too!

We did the station wagon/pop-up camper scene when I was a kid. It was the best of times... it was the worst of times... lol 😂😂 Actually, mostly good memories.

I have so memories of camping as a child and I'm almost 67. That is the best for kids I wish we would have done more with our boys
It’s so easy to get too busy to go… we camped a ton in Utah, and then life got so busy when we moved here - so this year we’ve been out a few times already and it just makes our kids (and us) so happy! Love that you have such great memories!!
My family loves to go camping. We have always tent camped but recently but a tiny camper since it's just my husband and I now. We are gearing up for a trip memorial day weekend.

We used to camp when I was younger. We’ve done tents, then a pop up trailer, and then finally we had a family cabin. So much fun and great memories.
Hi Amanda - I love s'mores!! I'm very picky so I'm told therefore I stick to the original recipe and no generic marshmallows!! Lol
We tent camp every year starting Memorial Day weekend...This is a big trip with the kids and lots of family...
Since most of the kids are grown and not interested the next trips are just adult camping - we always have a themed trip and tent wars...For tent wars we have judges to vote who has the best set up...One of our themes last year was 'Around the World' .. Each single/couple picked a country and made a dish/cocktail from their selected country...We had a big potluck dinner party...We usually have a ball!! I'm hooked for life...
How fun, we have a travel trailer too. It is similar to yours. We love short trips in it, so nice to get away, relax & ride bikes etc.
Hey Amanda we bought a motorhome last year and we're loving it. I'm glad I'm not the only one that uses a laundry basket to put my food in when we're loading up. It makes it alot easier. Enjoy the peace and quiet xx
We love camping! We have a trailer, similar setup to yours. One of our camping snacks is Franz donuts. We don't have them any other time of year but love having them on hand for camping and doing sunrise and donuts in the morning and a special location wherever we are camping.
No camping tricks BUT for frozen hamburger...if you are just cooking it up for tacos, sloppy joes, chili, sauce, etc. you don't need to pre-thaw it. You can cook it frozen in the fry pan. It takes a little longer and you have to flip it side to side as it cooks and thaws. But, you can do your other food prep as it cooks. I always did this as the kids were growing up: pull a frozen pack out to cook.
Oh, and if it's frozen in store wrap, put it in a warm/cool pot of water for 10 minutes to thaw plastic off of meat.

How fun for Kyle to take the boys camping! 🌿 I started storing my head of lettuce in a freezer bag wrapped in a paper towel and get all the air out of the bag and it stays fresh for so long in the vegetable drawer 🌿

I was cracking up because I do the same thing to my lettuce, I learned that in a restaurant I use to work.. Camping we love camping we started with a Tent and now we are up to an RV, all my family has enjoyed it and we all have great stories and memories.. Happy Mothers Day,, you are an amazing mom…

We have a camper and we call it glamping we love ❤️ it , fifth wheel so we can go traveling all over the United States. I can’t wait.😊😊😊
We plan meals ahead as well. I have self adhesive wire baskets in the kitchen area for snacks and such. My dining table centerpiece is a tiered basket for fruit and onions, etc. We have hamburger patties made ready to grill on site, so I don’t have to patty them there. I like to spend as little time in the kitchen there as possible and more time outside. We take popsicle varieties when it’s hot weather for cool quick snacks. I make Mac-n-cheese ahead of time for my daughter to pair with hot dogs. We grill a lot of meals, including veggies in tin pans for quick clean-up. Also, a self-adhesive paper towel holder is great for us because it keeps it off the counter. Have fun! We’re heading to Gulf Shores in a few days. We love camping!

I thought of another hack we do, and we just started it last summer. We use the metal water bottles for hikes and long day trips. We started filling a couple gallon water jugs from our filtered tap at our house so that we don’t have to run through the plastic water bottles to fill them up. They fit under our bed perfectly.
Amanda I have an idea. Many people do makeover videos to their campers. They painted the caninet white to open up the space, changed out the dated furniture etc. Why don’t you do a camper makeover ? I love to to watch camper make over. You will win another batch of audiences.

I grew up tent camping and loved it. We took our girls tent camping once and that was it😂 We got a travel trailer and love it. My hubby and I just got back from a week long camping trip to Tennessee. Our dream is to full time RV in the future.

We have always tent camped. But we moved to sw WY 2 years ago and so we’re looking at getting an RV this year since the ground isn’t great for tent camping here.

I have done my lettuce that way for years! I saw it done in a restaurant I worked at in high school. I have also found the best way to store my lettuce. I bought a fridge smart from Tupperware, lay a paper towel in the (thank !) and put the lettuce in unwashed! When I use some lettuce, I wash it then and this works!!
We love to camp but my body just can't do the ground for more than a day at this point. We don't have anywhere to store an RV either, but our goal is when we're retired to get an RV and see all 50 states!
We glamp. We bought a 1990 Safari Ivory RV and completely gutted it in 2021 and started going camping. We really love it.

Years ago we would go camping on the beach at Ptown on cape cod. Best times ever. Pick up truck with a camper on the Back. It’s been years since I’m 67 and Hubs is a union contractor, so no time for that anymore. Nothing like glamping on the ocean. Dorene Weiss
When I was young back in the 50s and 60s camping was really popular...and always tent camping. Also I was in Brownies and Girl Scouts so I've done a lot of tent camping. Even when I took my 2 sons camping it was always tent camping out in the wilderness with no amenities. I haven't done any camping in years but both my sons and their families go camping quite often...usually camper or cabin. Such happy memories 💜💙💚💛🧡
Aww that’s so fun! Honestly there’s something about tent camping that just connects you to the wilderness! It’s dirtier, but I still love it!

My dad had a pop-up camper and I have some great memories in that. I have mostly gone tent camping, though. Stayed at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and that was a GREAT experience and I went camping with the parents and Chris the weekend after we got engaged. I had someone at our wedding get us the camping equipment that was on our registry and she thought it was a hoot that it was on the registry 😆😆😁😁

Well Amanda, since you asked, I love "camping". My spouse and I have lived in our 5th wheel for 3 years. We generally travel during the summer and winter in Texas. In fact, I just started a CZcams channel, @SOLDonRVLife. Where I focus on full-time RV living .

Our camper is very similar except the bunk house has 4 bunks and it slides out. ❤

We didn't have money growing up.
Some times we camped in our back yard. It was so fun.
I've been camping with bunch of girls as a leader - once. The first part of the week was fine, but the last two days it "rained cats and dogs" and we were camping at the bottom of a slope and one morning we woke up drenched. Luckily there were a cabin on the campground and the last two nights were spent inside. Ever since then I've avoided all camping in tents. If there were a cabin and a bunk: that's were I slept. (I know I'm a "softie", but tent camping was never a part of my growing up).

lol! I was so lonely! I was calling them within an hour of them leaving 😂 I think it was the first time I was completely alone without the kids /or Kyle at the house at night
I would have had a party lol don’t get me wrong I love my family but so so nice if all of them went away for 2 nights but hey that’s our secret 😁😆😄
My hubby and 3 boys will all be going to church camp in June and I will have the house to myself as well. It’s definitely going to be weird. 😂

We’ve been doing our s’mores like that for several years! My family likes to use a Reese peanut butter cup in place of a Hershey chocolate bar. (Well everyone but me…..I don’t like pb and chocolate 🤢). We call it the ultimate s’more.

Make sure you have a trailer hitch lock while your trailer is stored. We have been hearing a lot of people getting there trailer stolen and no one reports for weeks, months because your not there regularly.

We were just talking about going camping again. But it’s a cabin with AC 😂 still counts…. On stuff that water will touch, try using a garden marker. It’s water proof and sun proof so it stays on better than sharpie. Will for sure try those cookies for s’mores what a great idea! The sugar free sweet baby rays bbq sauce is really good. I add it to chili. ❤

I’m so glad!!! We thankfully are able to keep our camper at our house so we keep a lot of our stuff in the camper. And then because we have a smaller house we use it as the “guest” bedroom!
I want to get a small rv to take the grandkids camping but my husband is against it 😢 he fishes but only does day trips. I love fudge strips 😊

Hey Amanda I just wanted to share a little tip with you. Don't ever cut up your lettuce with a knife. It will cause the lettuce to turn brown quicker. You should tear it with your hands or use a plastic knife. We make Hobo stew for our camping trips. We add sliced up red potatoes and green beans and cut up carrots in a piece of foil and top it with a hamburger patty. We wrap it up and place the foil packets on the grill. We use the foil that is made for nonstick. You can add whatever veggies you like. Sometimes we add sliced up zucchini too. You can add mushrooms and asparagus. They are always a big hit.

I'm 70 now and really am not interested in camping anymore, but LOVED going when my 3 sons were younger. I miss it at times. 😊
