Exactly same thing happened with me. On my first day of joining office, i came back to hotel and slept, with mobile in silent mode. I got a call from head HR office of my company in LANDLINE of my hotel room telling me to immediately call my parents. Coz the only contact my parents had was the contact number of head HR in my appointment letter!!!
Till now whenever I meet my HR, every time she asks me if i call my parents regularly or not!! 🤦🏻♀️
