i love this arc corax is going through, gotta be one of my favourite character arcs in anime
livenishikireaction
mine too
I see him everywhere now.
ten years in the joint-
Yesss!
I just love how they were only tasked with making a hack n slash and a couple of the guys said "screw it, we'll put in a full functioning fighting game in there as well"
I always felt this game was a top tier movie tie in game, not counting the other Star Wars games released at the time. Animations and models are actually really high quality for the time
Right? I was pleasantly surprised by how good they looked too! Originally, the cardboard cutout of Obi-Wan was supposed to be the actual game model that I'd animate but I couldn't find it anywhere!
If you want to play the campaign, you could always ask my Dad if he is willing to play with you.
He's also a great co op buddy.
My dad only got to play the first mission with me sadly, before we forgot about it and buried under a PS2 Lego Star Wars game.
@@Corax
When i was a kid i always imagined how episode iv would play out. I mean you can play with vader and ben kenobi at the end. I thought we would have a lego star wars situation and then have from phantom menace til return of the jedi. Then the force awakens came out and i forgot about that idea and i'm glad i did
The cardboard cutout folding in half on the seam is such a good touch
"the requisite little brother mode" genuinely got me. I remember playing this ages ago with my older cousin, and it was such a blast. I'm loving these recent videos!
I got this game for my PS2 cos Ilike the Lego Star Wars prequel games so much.
I only got to play the first mission in revenge of the Sith tho :'(
As the older brother, spamming Grievous' laser and his command grab was fun in versus
Corax on the old movie tie in game binge and I'm so here for it
THIS ONE WAS MY SHIT! Though eventually disc got too scratched up and it froze most levels.
We eventually sold ours around 2011, if only I could get it back, I would travel the earth for it. 😔
The reason 2000-2010 was peak for stars wars adjacent media, such as videos games, was because it was that sweet spot in the timeline:
George Lucas, the orignal creator, was still at the helm and still passionate about creating the prequels and was involved in alot for these games AND, just as importantly, alot of the people that were working on and managing these games grew up watching and loving the OT and felt honored to work with George to expand the universe. It's why we see SO MUCH passion put into even games like this. Because every single person there loved star wars and was eager to leave their mark on it.
I'm sure there are tons of people at Disney now that grew up with and love star wars. But they lack that top to bottom honor and passion that I feel this Era had.

Ah yes, the ol' "No two Siths can exist at once" rule.
This is going right into my 2000s nostalgia playlist. Corax has great taste but i didn't know he was from the same era as us 90s babies.
Damn, this takes me back. I remember having a splendid time with the game
Corax just casually digging up my childhood like it ain't no thang
Real talk, I have ALWAYS wanted someone to make a story about Anakin winning the battle on Mustafar, whether that'd be in a movie, a show, a game, whatever. What would Anakin do? How would he rule? Without the influence of Darth Sidious, would he turn back to the light side, or stay in the dark? Perhaps he might even find a balance of both.
It's just such a fascinating concept to me and I'm shocked that nothing other than this game's brief alternate ending really delved into it before; at least, nothing I'm aware of.
That alt-ending was great. After 1 v 50'ing the entire jedi order and his master he just says "fuck it, your next you salty old fart"
1 minute squad. Played this game a lot in childhood days. This is the first occasion ever I've seen anyone talk about this 2000s game in particular.
me too, it was the first game that i had ever played
Wow me and my brothers owned this game and never saw anyone ever utter its existence. It’s nice to see that it does hold up, and maybe I’ll dust it off.
It probably just got overshadowed and obscured by the massive success of Battlefront II, due to how massively popular FPS games were at the time.
They're both great games, but spectacle fighters just weren't mainstream enough yet.
I played this over and over as a kid. Anakin's combo moveset is fun to mash! The cinemtaics are faithful to the movie and very expressive despite the graphical limitation.
every animation with your character makes me love your content even more, it's so fucking funny i love it
Ah nostalgia overload
Fun fact there's actually an exploit in this game where if you block a full chain from an opponent, there's a brief period where they can't act but you can attack right after the chain finishes.
After figuring this out, the whole game is a relative cakewalk.
Except when fighting someone using force heal, force heal is busted.
YO! OK! THIS IS A CERTIFIED HOOD CLASSIC! I USED TO LOVE THIS GAME DUDE. My dad commented on how I always did aerial attacks because it basically won me every engagement. 10/10
It's not May the 4th yet but still, good quality mate
We need a Force Unleashed video for may the 4th
I remember booting this bad boy up on my friends PS2 and I lost my mind over sith General Grievous. I’m glad someone made a video like this for this gem. Thank you!
I've already been loving your videos of old favorite games of yours, but this is just such a delight. Keep the great work Corax!
The content transition you did with this channel is fantastic. Always loved your animation on their own but those videos are super enjoyable. You're doing great work dude !
I love your series talking about all these old games! I've never played any movie games other than a random lego star wars one at a friend's house but I still love watching you talk about your childhood experiences and your revisit :)
I gotta say, animation wise you are one of the top 5 in terms of quality / technique / overall, and of course that was what got me here (even watching some animations daily for some time.)
However, ever since the SFM video I got doubled hooked, triple if you consider commenting as another indicator that I normally don´t do.
Where i´m going, really big fan Corax, amazing content and hope you have an amazing year.
These last few videos have been a blast! Fantastic work all around.
I absolutely love the long-form video! Keep it up Corax!
Loving this new form of content. Keep it up Corax!
Absolutely adore these reviews. Your animation gags thrown in are fantastic as well.
What an amazing intro. Pressing the button to play a sound clip was a cherry on top of your lightsaber being fake and the cardboard bending.
youre going crazy with these consistent upload man, i love it
Dude, you are so insanely talented. The animation is too notch, keep up the good work!!
That older woman jedi getting impaled on anakin's lightsaber like that is WILD!
Shit was somehow incredibly brutal and hilarious.
it happened so fast it made me chuckle for how abrupt it was
from small beginnings to jerma animations (which are top notch) to top quality animated video game essays, keep it up corax!!!
Your channel is consistently awesome, really glad you decided to pick up thid style of content creation
the animations and editing is insanely good!
Legit the most underrated one out there. When I was young everyone in my friend group knew about this game, but when I started being on the internet I didn't see people talking about it.
Oh my god the enemy design, the gameplay, the vs mode. And that twist at the end if you played anakin. Loved this game to death.
I unintentionally beat this game without a single upgrade back in the day... It was... an experience.
yoooooo! I loved this game back in the day! I rented it so much! This and the King Kong movie game were my fave movie-tie in games for ages. Great video!
The DS version of this game is also awesome, it's a Beat 'Em Up with it's own unique cartoon art style they made specially for it! The sprites are amazing, the animations are top notch, and it's SUPER satisfying to play. They also have flying levels where you fly in various starfighters. There's a PVP mode where you can fight each other in dogfights with ships like the Slave 1 and Millenium Falcon in Couruscant!
Damnit, now I've gotta dig up an emulator. The disc i had of this for the ps2 got so scratched and worn by our console it was a gamble whether you'd get past the main menu. So many memories of this silly game.. i remember trying to do the special moves and stuff and just losing to Dooku endlessly because i wouldn't stop styling on him instead of fighting smart. what a game.
great video! amazing production as always
This game really takes me back as a kid. I think I played it after the movie. Me and my brother played tons of Star Wars games during the 2000s. My older brother played Knights of the Old Republic, and I played Force Unleased, Republic Commando and Revenge Of the Sith. Such fond memories.
The cardboard of ObiWan is adorable.
Was thinking about this game just yesterday- it’s so packed full of great content- I’d love to see a re-release of it
I friggin loved this game, I cannot imagine any other movie tie in being this great
You've been crushing these game reviews lately may man!😁
I played most of the games that you listed off in the intro. I can't BELIEVE I forgot about this one!
It's amazing how few people knew of this game. Thank you for going over it. Also, Grievous main. His blaster is OP lol
I wondered who this funny man was in my subscription feed, and how I missed his amazing gaming coverage. Then I realized, he's one of my favorite animators from nearly a decade ago! It's great seeing you grow like this, please keep it up! You're already on-par with Caddicarus and classic JonTron in my eyes.
Dude, your animations rock. They're so ... uniquely themselves. You're gonna go places, kid. I can feel it in my degenerative disk.
Thank you. I have been watching you for a while. Not only did you help me rediscover the games I played as a kid but also told me about Parsec. Now I can play with my cousin who I don't see as much as I used to. Now we're replaying through TMNT series for PS2 which we absolutely loved. Thank you so much!
S-tier channel covers an S-tier game
Love seeing one of my favorite childhood games reviewed, can't agree more about the vibes of that era of Star Wars
Oh HELL YES. I remember playing the 1v1 mode with friends when they came over even though Tekken 5 had just come out a few months earlier.
Haven’t finished it but I hope the dueling is mentioned. Played against a friend and was astonished at how intricate some of the fighting is. It can be pretty evenly matched and it’s awesome to basically be trading blows
The DS version of this game is a fun side scrolling beat em up and has a bespoke 3D starfighter mode where you can unlock a bunch of ships. It’s great fun.
I remember this game. I don't think my siblings and I ever beat it, though, due to the game being genuinely difficult at times. Those Super Grapple Droids were probably what did us in the most. Might have to give it another chance at some point.
dude, you've gotten so good at animating
My god I used to play this as a kid as well. I remember it so vividly yet it stuck pretty strongly
Another banger. Great review!
The GBA/DS versions of this game was also super cool, being a side scroller, 16-bit artstyle hack n' slash. The DS version included 3-D space fights, and had bonus ships included like the millennium falcon and the slave one. (oop I forgot that name has been retconned for being offensive; Boba Fetts spaceship)
Why people hate the word underrated
Count Dooku was a great filter that my sister and I only beat after taking a break for a month and starting the game over.
The style and quality of Corax's videos always makes me feel sorta sad because I'm like "now I'll have to wait 6 months for another one" and then bam 2 weeks later he releases another banger
Thanks for talking about this classic! I remember when I was a kid, Dooku's super battle droid adds were absolutely the worst part of that fight for me lol
It always weirded me out that every boss fight ends with the person being stabbed. Except for one. I kinda wanted some variety in death animations but still loved this game
These videos have such a high effort put into them, why aren't they blowing up?
Have you considered posting shorts to attract traffic?
the tie in game for the nintento ds was really good too!
I am too young to have played this but I always love looking into the past and getting to see the things that came before.
I had it for DS. LOVED playing it
this is honest to god my favorite ps2 game thank you for covering it in this amount of depth
i remember playing the versus mode of this game at birthday parties
Corax has been possessed by the ghost of normalboots and I couldn’t be happier
Those heavy jetpack clone troopers trigger my childhood PTSD
Yo I played this as a kid the sound design in this game is drilled into my brain
babe the new corax vid dropped
Watching Corax start on CZcams doing Game Grumps fan animations and come full circle to tackle 3D animation and video essays is something to behold.
08:10 - Why is the animation of the mouth so creepily smooth and why was that probably way too funny?
Hell yeah, new Corax vid
You know, as a non starwars fan that alternative ending seriously left me jawdropped... like IMAGINE how things would've turned out if
Holy shit throwback. I RENTED this fucking game when I was like 10 and can hardly even remember a thing about it.
I love what this channel has become
Great review as always!
Was wondering if you're considering reviewing Slave Zero X, since you mentioned it in your original Slave Zero review.
Found it quite interesting myself, especially with the art direction again as well as the 2.5D style. Would love to know what you think of it :^]
5:23 General Grievous doing a Torture Rack Backbreaker is something I never knew I always wanted to see....
Never heard of this game despite loving that era of star war games. Will definitely give it a try when I can.
I think Jedi Survivor is probably the best Star Wars I’ve experienced that was made after the Disney reign began. It ain’t perfect but it’s hella fun. I mean it lets you force crush security droids. That shit’s cool.
I played the hell out of this game on Gameboy Advance back in the day. I remember loving this game to death.
lol Nice look at an older game and some great animation. I'm such a sucker for Corax.
That yell was animated wayyyy too well lmao
Holy shit thanks for unearthing these deep memories Corax
My best friend and I played this game for hundreds of hours as kids, the PvP was amazing
I'm happy I grew up in the 90s and I got to play a lot of these games In the early 2000s as well.
oh my god I remember this game, I absolutely loved it, I would play it with my cousin all the time
Not only have I played this game on ps2 as a kid, for whatever reason, my body temperature used to increase by 2°. One time, my parents thought I got cold, but after I stopped playing my body temp went down. This repeated multiple times
FUCK. YES. I loved this game as a kid. Bringing back so many memories of never being able to beat Utapau and needing to use cheat codes to finish the game 😅
Can't wait until the nose gets more detailed physic movement. It's really gonna be insane seeing the nob on that lad flowing through the wind.
Oh my god this is a deep memory, long forgotten
This game holds special place in my heart. It also started a legit fist-fight between my friend and his brother at the drop of a ha when they began bickering over which ability to upgrade first lol
i like how corax always focuses on the positives even if the game is lackluster in some ways (10th comment less gooo)
also coraxes scream when he realizes he didnt record is amazing
Ah yes, the game where I bullied my brother by spamming Grievous' laser and his command grab.
Good times
