Please correct me if im wrong. At 57:45 Sheikh beautifully recites the Quran and he is referring to Surah Fussilat as he mentions the surah by name numerous times. However, He seems to have recited a different surah- possibly surah ad-Dukhan. Please can anyone clarify جزاك اللهُ خيراً

Yes the Sheikh mistakenly recited the first two Ayah of Surah ad-Dukhan.

A point was made by the sheikh that AbuTalib did not accept Islam because it was in Allah's plan to keep the Prophet (swt) safe in the tribal protection. Okay, but then why on earth Abu Talib is being punished in the Hell? After all, it is not his fault that he did not accept Islam. This point is such an obvious moot. I personally think that most of our "Islamic history" detailing the Seerah is suspect.
If Abu Talib was really such a great benefactor of the Prophet (saws) as is depicted in our history, then I have no doubt that he died as a Muslim because of Allah's concrete promise to reward the sinsere with guidance. And if he died as a mushrik, then, the Qur'an tells us in no uncertain terms that there is no lessened punishment for mushrikeen because all their good deeds are blown away like dust. I personally think that the sheikh must not present this Seerah series as "facts". To me, most of it, is pure fiction, a pack of fantastic fabrications written under some dubious political influence prevailing in the Umayyad and Abbasid caliphates.

Asc brother Andul Faruq it's well known that Abu Talib died as a mushrik and Allah giuds whom ever he wills. Yes Abu Talib helped Islam in many ways but in the end his pride got the better of him and he as mushrik. If you doubt the Sirah that means you doubt many authentic hadiths from prophet peace be upon him.

@Najma Khan Blind-following and calling an argument "baseless" without counter-ent is a manifest sign of ignorance.
The entire Shia community - the community this "sheikh" often targets - believes that Abu Talib died as a believer. So who is right, your Wahhabi sheikh and his tribe, or the Shia who claim to be from "Ahl al-bayat"?
I am not a Shia or Sunni. But one thing I am not, is a mindless nincompoop. If you want to talk to me, you better come with some arguments.

Sometimes it’s a certain horrible quality that prevents an individual from being guided, even if they are an overall decent person. In the case of Abu Talib it was his pride. There is actually a Hadith in which the Prophet says that a person with a mustard seed of arrogance can not enter Paradise. Not to mention the fact that only Allah knows what is in the heart of each individual and what they do in private. So we should leave this matter solely to Allah.
That being said, obviously the Shias are gonna say that Abi Talib is going to Jannah, seeing as he is the father of Ali (RA). There claims are based merely on wishful thinking.

n the previous video, you made a comment on how you doubt the authenticity of the Sunnah and now you’ve made a comment about how you doubt the Seerah? Islam encourages one to think, but if you’re going to call authentic narrations doubtful, then I’m sorry, but that is a blasphemous and unislamic thing to say. I suggest you do your research before you give your opinion on matters you have no knowledge of.

Al-Tirmidhi reported from Abu Raafi’ and others that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “I do not want to see any one of you reclining on his couch and, when he hears of my instructions or prohibitions, saying ‘I don’t accept it; we didn’t find any such thing in the Book of Allaah.’” Abu ‘Eesaa said: This is a saheeh hasan hadeeth. (See Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Shaakir edition, no. 2663).
