Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition (Luxor Las Vegas Strip 2021 Complete Walk Through Tour)

  • An absolutely astounding exhibit!.... In this video you will get a complete walk through of the Titanic artifact exhibit at Luxor Las Vegas on the Las Vegas strip. This is a fantastic exhibition and the largest display of authentic Titanic artifacts recovered from the wreckage. The center piece of the exhibit is a massive 15 ton piece of Titanic's hull appropriately called "The Big Piece". It's incredible to see as it hangs on display and crazy to think the journey it has taken from the bottom of the North Atlantic all the way to the Mohave desert. If you love history, I highly recommend taking the tour as it is well worth the price of admission. Enjoy!

I was part of the 1996 Expedition when the "BIG PIECE" was the center of this expedition. it was not that small when it was recovered in 1998, and arrived in Boston. this is just the top portion and the lower half is probably in Branson Mo. last of my recollection of it. some of the things here are new to me since my time with the Expedition, and time with being on a board of trustees for 7 years. I helped set up some of the other Exhibits in Atlantic City, Toronto, St Paul, Boston. it was the best time of my life I had ever experienced. I knew a lot or most of the recovery team. I was good friends with George Tulloch (passed away) and P.H .

I went to Las Vegas for the first time with my family and my uncle and I got to see the Titanic exhibit along with The Body.
It was…honestly exhilarating and kind of haunting to see everything, read the stories, and be able to be close the ACTUAL stuff that was on the ship. It was especially harrowing towards the end of the tour; everything going dark, hearing the recordings, touching that iceberg mock-up, and reading all the stories of those who survived and who didn’t..
We’re going to be going back to Vegas next year and I hope that I can get tickets to see it all again..

One of the best videos on here of the expedition! I was lucky enough to visit from the UK in 2019 and this was one of the highlights of my trip. We are booked to come back in May and I will definitely be visiting again as I see there have been additional items added since my last trip.
I can’t explain how I felt the moment I saw the “big piece”. The pictures and videos don’t do it justice of how big it actually is. Just being so close to a huge part of history gave me goosebumps. I’ll never ever forget it.

It's almost a double tragedy, in that the biggest loss was for the crew members and Third Class passengers. It's as if their station in life condemned them, both in life and death. The small amount of lifeboats only exacerbated who was going to get priority, and who would be forgotten in the bowels of the ship.

As Titanic songstress Celine Dion said when asked how she felt about this exhibit, "who gives a s***?"
I guess when it looks like you might be close to your own death, exploiting and glamorizing the deaths of so many others begins to seem a little tacky.
But WOW, they have an actual 5-ton part of the hull, carved and carted away from that watery grave! Even so, I'm sure some museum or public memorial has exhibited remnants of the Berlin Wall even larger than that. But that extracted relic celebrated renewed freedom and life, not torturous hours of suffering and death.

It’s a great video that I really enjoyed but it left me with questions too at some points, so for international viewers who won’t ever get to see it in person perhaps concentrating on the things in a series of videos would be good too, I understand, as you said in your intro, you want people to go see them in person but if that’s not possible we look to uploads like this for glimpses of history.
