I did my custom last year but I used a balloon for the sweater, I plan to revisit this character once I find kid omega figures on clearance since I prefer that body for all spiderman, this is a dope custom keep them coming for sure

This custom looks amazing! What I would've used for the body is the chasm marvel legends figure because it already comes with accurate gauntlets that scarlet spider wears but overall, your custom looks amazing!
Back when they first released this figure, they used that crappy buck. I like this one for him way better. With the upper torso able to do all that movement. Instead of just an ab crunch. Really good job man. Love the shading. I have 2 of the Mafex scarlets, thinking I’ll try to shade one of them.

I want to do this with the next marvel legends ben reilly that is going to release, but I don't think I can affort taking it apart and repainting everything, can I just paint the cell shading over the vanilla figure and then give it a sealling layer or will that have problems?

You could've used the latest Carnage body which comes in a twopack along with Spiderman black suit.

Honesty I wouldn't bother doing a coat of red when the figures red anyway. You should be fine just cell shading as long as you seal it well

I do sometimes but the majority of joints on this were already red and the black areas I covered with permanent marker

I used some very cheap paints and it's held up ok, but inwould recommend tamiya spray paints

Why not use the daredevil body as a base, it’s already fully red and pinless

You can do quite a basic shading by painting recesses black and just wiping away the excess
