What Uncle Thomas did is very commendable and i respect that. Infact many people are Kind and Loving.

Do you know Government, Elites, Top 1% if they want, they can adjust world policies and end ALL POVERTY in 1 day?
Do you know their resources?
Do you know the policies they can make but choose not to to SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS FOR CENTURIES IN 1 DAY

There are reason why the government aren't doing that. You see, we as a citizens aren't the only ones participating the capitalist money game, countries do it to. The US has the ability to end world hunger if they focused on it, but they don't. why? *That's* because countries need to stay competitive too.
Now, what's this gotta do with poverty?
Poverty is treated as a symbol for people to work harder, and if you work hard enough, you'll be one of the elites. In simpler terms, it's a glorified candy&whip technique. The countries need their people to work harder in order to stay competitive in the future, or else they'll end up like Zimbabwe of today.
This proverb summarized it all: "Gave a man a fish, you'll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, he'll feed himself forever"
If we have a society that doesn't punish the "lazies", then there's no incentives to work harder. Same for rewards for working harder, you'll be a monopolist.
The last time we tried to "cease the mean", the country has gone bankruptcy.

@@cryptoinsider9305 actually it's the government and those rich person that donate to those charity organisations. Mind you, this uncle is not the only charity organisations, there are plenty of charity organisations out there is Singapore. If you have time feel free to go search it up. My families is quite rich, we also do donations frequently but we cannot possibly donates almost all the time, we need to have some back up for our company in case of economic crisis like during lockdown period since we are all retail kind of business. We had to cut down the donations because we still need to pay for our workers.
@@cryptoinsider9305 also I wan to add in one thing, this uncle set up orphanages in other country. Singapore don't have the obligations to support him. Its should be the other countries goverenment that help.
