It took me 2 hours to complete this stretch of road in the opposite direction before I went for the Onboard run. Because I had to stop and take pictures quite often. Just in case I receive those "You're missing out on the view" comments :)

It's not about "missing out on the wiew"...instead, is about we local people hate this kind of bullshit. Go to the fucking racetrack if you need to speed. It's easy to understand you maybe reach 180, even if you hide the dashboard. In this road it's easy to find pigs and goats behind any corner. In the last August 2 bikers dead on Passo Silana because of speed. And what's more, police officers are mad at all local bikers, because of your fuckin' way of riding. I don't think you do this shit in Germany, isn't it???

@@Eagle11a well, I do. My riding for camera doesn't change depending on the country I'm in. And when I feel like going fast - actually fast - I indeed do go to the racetrack.

Thank you for the upload, this road (and Sardegna) is old time favorite. Never miss a chance to ride in this island at least once a year.
    The other “bests” are:
    - SS198, from Tortoli to Lago Basso del Flumendosa.
    - SS389 between Bitti and Monti
Enjoy it as much as you can!

Great video, well done! But there are so many others! Oristano - Bosa for example. Violet stones with the road high up on the sea, at sunset is a dream.
All the island is a Bikers' Heaven. There are also small less known roads to discover in the wilderness. Many years together with friends riding all over seaside and inside. Sometimes you go on a road you don't know anything about it and discover how beautiful it is. In old maps maybe it was signed as panoramic and with the new tech maybe not (I suggest to find always a paper map, it gives you different perspectives, about the small tracks and the complete vision) And in summer never rains. And what about the beaches after a long road? Astonishing. In fact sardina is full of riders in summertime.
      W Sardegna!

My favorite road (which you sort of mentioned in the video) would be the Passo Gardena - Sella - Pordoi - Campolongo with a nice italian espresso in Corvara before and after. With runner up being the Passo Giau to Falzarego road, with the coffee stop in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Wow, what a life. Amazing road, amazing BIKE, beautiful scenery. Spectacular!! Thanks for taking us along for the great ride!
There are NO roads like that where I live - rural area in Western Pennsylvania, U.S. Hilly and some curves, but generally not good road surfaces, scenery mostly wooded. There is one road I like - has some small hills & dips, some curves, couple small straights, road surface not too bad, but it's only 2-3 miles long. It's very fun on my WR250R due to the bike's flickable nature. I'll do a video of it sometime this yr.

NICHTS. NIEMAND. Ein bisschen Glück braucht man also immer ;)

    Warum fährst du so Hochtourig?

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  Před 2 lety

Warum?
