The creators nailed making an extremely lovable and respectable character, none is ever un warranted it feels like, it’s never misplaced or unnecessary

@@flymoolahman2763 Rimuru's soul/mind is male, but his body is genderless. So it makes sense if you don't read him as male from his looks alone.

@@dyppityjoop5912 in one of the OVAs he explicitly looks for a material that could be used to make body pillows that mimic his squishiness to try and stop the fighting. He succeeds and makes pillows for everyone that are very well-received. Then the next day Shuna and Shion are right back to fighting over Rimuru because they still want the real thing
Rimuru wisely muses in the novels that if he starts duplicating himself for other people's selfish reasons EVERYONE will start asking for a pet Rimuru clone.
@@undecided445 I think he also talked about it in the anime OVA as well. I believe he mentioned that scenario as a possibility right before he ended up deciding to make the Rimuru pillows near the beginning of an OVA (don't remember which one exactly, maybe the first or second OVA since it was the beach episode one).

I’m enjoying this series a lot so far. My only qualm is that they skipped the tanabata day chapter and are most likely going to skip the summer festival chapter.
Also on an unrelated note, I still can’t get over how pretty Shion's nails are.

During the last chapter of the Web Novel, Shion, Shuna, and Milim fight for right to become Rimuru's legal wife (Ciel (Raphael's evolution) also throws her hat into the ring). But like every protagonist with a harem, he says he can't choose now, and we never get to know if he ever chooses one of them or not.

So ive started reading the books and its honestly entertaining that basically right off the bat there has been this near yandere level of competition between those girls for holding rimuru where you can feel the borderline destructive rage in their voices when one wants to hold rimuru and the other is currently doing so. I think Shion gets the win way too often as shuna is always staying behind when they go somewhere.
I love how the sound of the demon sword is how the scene starts. The harem life ain't the easy life.
