Sitting in my tent in Glencoe it's raining and misty but I am not despondent for this is the place of my ancestors, and I am a thankful man.

Nice to hear an Irish group singing this song by John Cameron (1822-1898). In Scottish-Gaidhlig it is usually called Chi Mi na Morbheanna. The tune to John's song was played on the pipes at President Kennedy's funeral.
The story goes that John had disembarked from the Glasgow steamer and composed his song while walking towards his Glencoe home. The view can be seen at the start of Dunach1 on CZcams. John knew William Laurie before he became a famous bagpipe player and composer.

I first heard this tune in the highlands of Haliburton (Central Ontario) as a team of men hauled on ropes to raise the timber frame at a barn raising. Hearing it took me back 60 years.

I heard it played by four pipers in the Halifax (Nova Scotia) Citadel. After a few verses they started play it in two or three-part harmony. Still gives me chills to recall it.
But, the Rankins did my favourite vocal version.

My pet of a Scots / Acadian grandfather used to hum or whistle this when he looked after things on his farm when I was maybe 5 years old . Many years later , my friend Ginny played Denis Ryan's version- I had only heard the melody before and had not heard the chi me ne morbheanagh ..

First heard this on a faire site in York. County, Maine USA. Haunting, and fiery and I knew after a couple of hearings the faire life was for me.
