- A summer in the beautiful Puglia town of Polignano a Mare isn’t complete without a visit from the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. In nine previous stops here in 11 years, the spectacle never fails to bring out the locals and tourists in huge numbers, surrounding the take-off spot on land and water. The unusual route to the platforms never loses its charm, with divers emerging from the water, negotiating a crowded beach, walking barefoot through a bustling old town, then arriving, via a private living room, at the platforms mounted on a rooftop terrace.

I wonder if the sudden pressure rise during water penetration can damage the ears; has this already happened ?

Next time divers should organize a little "fun contest" on the wobbly worm : going from one end to the other by doing back flips all along...without crashing into the water 😀 or the best crash wins the contest :-D

It's actually safe to dive with rough waters than there are no waves at all the energy of those waves catches up the impact of kenetic energy vibration saving your eardrums from damage from the seawave pressure
much more difficult not to not over or under rotate as this video shows though, hard to judge the landing
as it is called the floating bridge that goes from the sea to the shore of the beach

I thought this was Red Bull Cliff Diving? What’s with the balcony when you can clearly see cliffs right and left of the divers? And what’s the reward for diving? A Red Bull Beach Towel?
