Cass Scenic Railroad - Summer In The Mountains

- On June 16th, I decided to come up a day early before the Parade of Steam to check out the regular excursions. I also got to ride the 2 o'clock Whittaker train, which will be in another video. The whistles on the locomotives consisted of a gorgeous Reading 6 Chime on 2, Powell 3 Chime on 11, and a Lunkenheimer 3 Chime on 4. As always, I had a great time and have a bunch more Cass videos planned for this year more than any other year. As always, thanks for watching!!
Note: Unfortunately, my tripod broke that morning, and it caused us to film with our hands. So this is not our best work but we hope you still enjoy!

Shay 4 was built the same year my great grandmother was born. She was born in May 1922 and was from just across the mountain from cass. I remember telling her as a kid that cass has a shay as old as you and she laughed hysterically and said LAND SAKES! 😂 shay 4 just reminds me of her. Also never ridden a train at cass with 4. Hope to get up there and ride thus excursion soon.
