Gallery Department’s logo immediately caught my eye. The minimalist font and the name just oozed class and sophistication. I’ve seen the logo on shirts and trucker hats. I knew I needed a piece from Gallery Dept.
While shopping online for Gallery Dept., I found multiple stories from credible publications that stated the fashion brand’s days were numbered. The founder, Josue Thomas, was apparently shutting down the clothing line to pursue other projects.
I immediately went to the online store and picked up all the logo t shirts and hoodies so that I could own a piece of history. Or so I thought, since I was under the impression that Gallery Dept. would cease to exist. But as of today, Gallery Dept. is still open for business. You can go to their website and buy the latest offerings from Josue Thomas.
Regardless of whether Gallery Dept. shuts down or not. I’m a massive fan and I’m happy I got the chance to pick up some heat from a true visionary and artist.

What had happened was when he was manufacturing his pieces they messed up the order he placed than he became bankrupt. Because he was on the rise and some big investors heard about him they put money back into the brand that’s why it’s still around here today. Love the video take care💯

Are the t shirts true to size?
@@krismatthew6296 id say yes but it depends on how you want to wear the shirt. It’s a boxy cut. Wide and cropped. I’m 6’2 with narrow shoulders and chest but long limbs and I like XXL in the Gallery Dept. Tees. Hope that helps!

Brudda, I got a M in a blue souvenir t and it fits a bit longer than I’d like, by any chance do you know if the t shirt will shrink if thrown in the dryer? I know some brands got pre shrunk cotton
It fits longer? Really? I find that interesting bc it’s def a boxy shape. You can def shrink cotton in the dryer. But it won’t just shrink the length. It’s going to shrink all around like the sleeves, the width AND length. I’d try and sell on GRAILED or cop a small. ORRRRR you can just cut the length and re-hem or keep it raw on the bottom

I get that perspective and I don’t have a problem with it. But I think of it like this. Kanye samples records and remixes it to make an original song. The song might be based off another artist’s song, but we all know it’s still a Kanye song. I see Josue doing something similar but with fashion. And Josue doesn’t force anyone to buy or like his clothes. It’s up to us to decide to purchase or not. So some ppl like me are gonna cop and some ppl will not. But I def get where you’re coming from. Thanks for checking out the video bro. How do you like your clothes to fit? Gallery Dept is true to size for the hoodies. It’s a classic fit. If you like a tailored fit, I’d go large. Medium is prob gonna be snug. But pro tip on the sweats, go a size up from what you normally wear. I wear medium usually for sweatpants. But I gotta go large for gallery dept.
