    Yo Cody do u do any suggestions to how to deal with wrist pain from playing ukulele? Like is there a technique or exercises to train your wrists or do I just get used to it over time?

    • @CodyUkulele
      @CodyUkulele  Před rokem +1

      There could be a lot of things that can cause wrist pain but the main thing is to not force yourself to keep playing after it starts to hurt and just take a break for a bit.
      If you haven’t been playing for a while it could be just the finger strength, but more often then not it’s probably technique and how you’re holding the uke. Also playing for a long time without breaks, especially with bar chords, could cause pain.
      There are some good videos on how the left hand should be on CZcams. I don’t recall much on ukulele but the guitar and bass videos have some good techniques on how to reduce wrist pains and prevent injury. The main thing though is to keep the wrist straight and stay relaxed. Tension while playing music is not good for pretty much any instrument.
      Hope this helped and take care!

      Thanks for watching! If you want to learn at a faster pace, I suggest finding a good private instructor if you can. With a good teacher you’ll be able to learn things a lot faster than in a class setting or by yourself

    it might be just me but the audio seems like its a millisecond delayed from the actual video

    • @CodyUkulele
      @CodyUkulele  Před 2 měsíci

      It might be. I didn’t realize that I should record at 48kHz instead of 44kHz until recently so the video and audio didn’t always line up well.
