- CAN AM X3 0-60MPH & 1/8th mile runs! We test the power loss between stock 29” stock tires and wheels, 30” carnivores on system 3 wheels (as our wheel/tire package) and 32” roxxilla tires on factory rims. Power loss wasn’t as much as we thought it would be. We could definitely tell between the 3 sets during the test tho. In the woods the power loss probably wouldn’t be noticeable at all.

Great video! Very informative.
I don’t think you could ever tell Riding in the woods.
I had 32 in carnivores put on from the dealer and my rig seems much slower they also mentioned they did something to let the car know it had bigger tires on it I wonder if they slowed it down?
when backing a trailer tight save the last few feet to crank wheel the opposite way. It changes the truck to trailer angle so you don't just follow the last pass. thanks for the comparison.
Nice! Thanks for the shout out, really surprised the 32's didn't slow it down more
I was really surprised. So 32’s May be next for me. Thanks again for hooking us up 👍🏼
Two of my favorite channels, thanks guys. Can’t wait to get back up to WV, been trapped in the Carolinas too long.
Appreciate the data
Awesome test..
It was a fun little comparison.
What’s your all’s opinion on the Roxxzilla’s? Been contemplating them and the xtr370. All I ride is WV, KY, TN, etc east coast riding
I’ve never ran them. I borrowed those for this video. I know 1-2 people who ran them tho and they do great on the rocks but not so well in other places. I’d definitely take the xtr370 Over the roxxzilla for every day trail riding.
@@WvTrailN appreciate the response and that’s what I was worried about. I ride East Lynn and Rush a lot since that’s what’s closest to me.
X3 turbo rr Max. came whit 30x10-14 carnivore , change 1 week later for s a me size bfgoodrich mud-terrain km3.
What size wheels are you running with the 30 in tires
14’s
Not alot of difference... I figured it would be more... Liked the real world test..!! 👍👍👍
I was surprised as well. May move to 32’s when tired time comes.
What the elevation your testing at? thanks
Around 2500
Have you measured the width with 32's on it? I got 2018 maverick x3 xds and i want 32s on it but everyone says they rub. I also have spring spacers in it so gave me 3in lift. Trails here are 64in wide only.
I didn’t measure the width of it with the 32’s but it shouldn’t change much if any. The 32’s didn’t rub while running up and down the road. I have heard they rub without offset wheels.
@@WvTrailN
Im trying to figure out how to run them. What offset rims and how wide is it. When i say 64in wide trails the openings are probably 63.5in so rock sliders are banged up good. LoL.
My xds with the fox tune on the shocks and 5+2 wheels I am at 66” wide. I think stock wheels are 6+1 offset. So 5+2 and 4+3 wheels will add to your width.
@@WvTrailN
So with those and 32s you dont rub when turning?
Zero issues with my 30” tires
Can someone help me so would 30s or 32s be better for street riding?
Street riding I’d say 32’s
I think you did well to get 1400 miles out of that belt given all the launches, speed, and the hard riding you do. 🤷♂️ Did you conclude that the Big Horns are faster because of their weight or is it more to do with their more rounded shape/tread pattern (causing less resistance)?
I think it’s a weight thing. Lighter is faster.
What tires do you like the best
I have ran the bighorns and carnivores. I like bighorns myself. We don’t run a lot of rocky stuff tho. I borrowed the other tires to do this test with.
Did you do anything to the clutch weights to adjust to the larger wheels and weight? Or did they run fine on stock weights?
I run a 3r-93 evo tune with 30” tires. Stock clutching.
I run a 3r-93 evo tune with 30” tires. Stock clutching.
Sounded like a belt let go on the 3rd pass
Yup. About 84 mph it gave up lol
Is this the 120hp X3? What mods are done to it?
@@WvTrailN Ah nice. Any clutch work?
Sorry man. Thought this was another video where we added a kit to a base model. This is a 172hp model with the evo 3r-93 tune and no clutch work.
@@WvTrailN I have a 172 HP how much power you making now?
Factory tune?
Evo 3R tune
What size is your trailer
6-1/2 by 14
Thank you I can’t decide if I want a 12 or 14 the one I have is 10 and it’s to short
@@GiJoeBLAKETHEGR8 go 14’. You’ll be glad you did
Any word on trails opening up
Haven’t heard anything yet.
Danm I'm about to go nuts
I’m with ya
From what I just heard 3-6 more weeks
@@WvTrailN really wth
I can’t help but think something wrong? Large tires kill straight line performance..it’s been proven numerous times. Great video thou...
I’m also surprised it wasn’t more. The 30” tire setup only added 16 pounds total over stock. The 32” setup added 44 pounds over stock.
WvTrailN Are those sb4s 14 inch?
Bubba C. Yes with 5+2 offset
It amazing how guys will spend 20k plus on a side by side and use 1 $5 harbor freight ratchet strap to tie it down! Genius🤦🏽
Sometimes it doesn’t even get that 😂
😂 I do the same thing
I just threw mine on a trailer with no straps last weekend. Drove 3 hrs to the destination and got out to take a look...it didn’t move. No more straps for me
