mom and dad had a creosote buildup on the side of their chimney, it caught on fire one morning, thank GOD I live next door, half the attic got burned up, they had to stay with us for 6 months. God really helps us sometimes! God bless you guys!!!
oh lawd yes, had that happen to me too... very scary if you've never experienced it. lots of roaring and very dangerous !
fire department do make a mess..we had a fire in the chimney and I had it out and when the firemen came in they ripped the fireplace front off and started the fire back up .slept on the floor next to it had my hand on the wall all night I know what you talking about.
