Praying for a miracle the Mirage as we know it, survives and the volcano sculpture is preserved as a Las Vegas historical monument.
The Hail Mary is the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Gaming Commission who both have to approve the sale of the Mirage next month but the volcano has nothing to do with gaming control. The NGCB or NGC might make comments about the volcano but really can't do anything about it's demise.
I loved this , you know its my place
Dear Mirage you will be missed
Thank you Kev !
Much love
I still remembering seeing you in a vlog hanging out in the hot tub awhile back just chilling.
Wow the model was $1m. Wow i didn't even know they remodeled the volcano in 2015. The underwater flame throwers are a cool design and amazing to see how they do it behind the scenes. Wow lot's of gas used and 640K watt lights at the top. The sound and speaker system is huge too. Wow Robbie Kneivel!
Thanks for watching Kenzo, the renovation was in 2008, the video of the new show was filmed in 2015. You can see how they quickly spent $25M on the renovation because the FireShooters took multiple years to develop, bringing in the two drummers for the music and all of the technology.
@@VegasVisual aha i got the dates mixed up. KNowing the history and how much manpower it took to create volcano makes me think twice about how they will remove it. The guitar better be more spectacular, lol
To this day, I’m still fighting for the volcano to stay.
Keep up the good fight, the Nevada gaming officials still have to approve the sale.
this was great! It’s so bittersweet really. The Volcano will be missed dearly by so many.
🌋🌋🌋Another awesome Vegas history video. Thanks Kev. Have a wonderful weekend
I must admit i wasnt to bothered about seeing the volcano go but after watching and seeing the work and planning that went into it and realising its such an icon on the strip... iv sort of changed my mind... brilliant vlog V.V.... as always 👍🇬🇧🙂
This, my friend, is why I do the history videos.
Explore and present a Vegas topic and let the people decide their thoughts on the matter, good, bad or ugly.
Your history videos are fantastic.... i absolutely love wathing them👍🇬🇧🙂
Awesome video as always. The way of the world we might have the volcano for at least another year.
A real shame to see it go. I know time marches on, but it still doesn’t make it any easier.
The first major attraction on the Strip and the first themed mega resort that changed the Strip forever. The volcano is more historic than all of the other Strip attractions combined, David Schwartz at the end says it all.
Wonderful video Vegas Visual. It’s a shame that the volcano is going
Thank you Neil, it is sad to see it go so soon, the volcano is not even 40 years old.
Excellent Video Chronology of an Iconic Wynn Property! Personally, I’m looking forward to a Hard Rock property reappearing on the strip. Especially the Guitar Tower. I do however regret Sheldon Adelson demoing the Beautiful and Classic Sands for a gaudy but lucrative Venetian/Palazzo.
I hope they can transfer it to somewhere else.
Have anyone realize that one of the fires on the water still going up at the end of the video
@@VegasVisual OK so this is how it happened when I was in stopped it started to go up
Hard Rock International intends to keep The Mirage open during renovations which won't start until about 2024.
exaclty what i wanted to know. you have a great channel. you make me wanna rerun my channel
OK
@@BlackinVegas Thank you!
@@VegasVisual You know, I hope I will create a film version of Mirage Volcano. And filmed the shot of the volcano eruption, and plus I hope it will stars me and bunch of actors, a story about it will be about me and the people as we enter the volcano. But when it start rumbling, many people heard of screaming and one of actors will get the person down and run across the fireball, and no one get hurts, but then a person got burnt, and then we quickly watch as the flame eurpted and ran away as we got out of the volcano
