I'm a huge fan of crystals, rocks, minerals, and such so seeing this makes me happy. I have all of these except for topaz and I've only gone looking for quartz and geodes. I really want to go look for vanadinite though

Well his judging may be bad most of the time but he is pretty smart
Decent judging, but the topaz and yooperlites should have been switched in my opinion.

Cory was at such a Hugh disadvantage with no expert by his side, I think it was quite unfair that he had to go solo while everyone else was assisted heavily
Cory's disadvantage was the fact he was going geode hunting since you really don't know what you got until you cut it open.

The best way to judge would've been to calculate value of each piece and then the most expensive collection wins. That would've been much more satisfying.

I agree! Going by someone opinion, especially the opinion of someone who does know crystals and rocks, is one of the worst ways to judge this type of thing.

Crystal Collector says the 4th place winner has among the rarest crystals compared to everything else the others brought, and he gets fourth cause Sparky is not "Jazzed about them" and picks the winner (which I won't spoil for others) because he literally admits he's a sucker for them.
It's just so satisfying to watch the guys mine for rare crystals.

Wholesale or retail? I can tell you the wulfenite and vanadinite comes out on top. Then probably the quartz, then the topaz, then the yoops, then the geodes. I'm a jeweler and gemstone dealer.
