For a customer, the product is the product. For an investor, the company is the product.

For my own notes, then, the thing I should be pitching in SUS calls is the AR version of the app, not the "mTailor"ing. "Djin.ni takes a video of your body through your smartphone and let you try on clothes in AR"

I wrote up the questions in the investor pitch:
    1. What do you do?
    2. How far along are you?
    3. How big is the market?
    4. How will you charge users?
    5. What do you know that other's don't?
    6. Who is on your team?

and also an investor also always asks, why your customers like your product ?
and what they like in your product ?
Investors are always very interested in customers opinion.

Do all products have to solve a problem? How about something people like to consume/use?

    • @xumx
      @xumx Před 5 lety +1

Javier Zapata intensity of the problem you are solving is proportional to how fast and how big the company can grow.
And that’s what investors care about.
A nice to have product will grow at a slower rate and likely end up being a lifestyle business and not a startup. There is nothing wrong with that if that’s what you are looking for, just they are not suitable for the high growth startup.

Idea: Customer pitch does not work for Investors
    ## Customer Pitch
    - Jargon builds credibility. Use jargons
    - They should be talking more than you.
    - Figure out how the solutions helps them personally.
    Where to use?
    - Sales call.
    - Front page of website
    - Help / FAQ
    - User interviews
    ## Investors Pitch
    - Jargon is confusing.
    Drop it,
    - Language they can understand. Explain it simply.
    - Avoid marketing language - unique, awesome platform, great product.
    #### Where to use?
    - Not on website
    - Non for customers
    - Only in pitch deck
    #### What investors care?
    - What do you do?
    - How far along are you? - Stage 1,2,3
    - How big is the market? -
    - How will you charge users?
    - What do you know that others don't? - Competitive advantage
    - Who is on your team? Founders, can build the product?
    #### What customers care about?
    - Functionality
    - Onboarding process
    - How does the pricing apply to them?
    - Does it solve their specific problem
