A tour around Orion Global PET - IVL's Facility in Lithuania

The Orion Global PET facility located in Lithuania was IVL’s first entry into Europe.
In 2006, the plant started commercial production with an annual capacity of 198,000 tonnes, making it the largest single line plant in Europe with the lowest carbon footprint. Lithuania was chosen as home for this project due to an educated workforce, low energy costs and easy logistics due to its year-round ice free port.
In 2007, Orion Global Pet facility received business awards from the Lithuanian government: “Exporter of the Year” in 2009 and “Successful Operating Company” in 2010.
The Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists conferred gold medals for Product of the Year for Ramapet PET resin, N1 (2009), R1 (2010) and R1L (2011). OGP also received the Best Chemical Company award from the Lithuanian Government in 2012.
