Welcome to my crib!! This has been such a highly requested video and I'm so excited to finally share this with you all. It's taken me a whole year to really settle into this apartment and decorate it the way that I want....and now I'm moving :') This was my first big girl apartment and the first time that I was able to live truly by myself with no roommates. Although this apartment had its flaws, I was able to make some unforgettable memories in this space, and I was grateful every day that I was able to live in this city that I love. a little tip from another small kitchen owner: you could totally get a cover/cutting board thingy to put over your burners to maximize counter space! It`s really helped me enjoy cooking more

Headboards are stupid but bed frames are really really helpful if only for more storage space!! I totally understand if you're planning on moving out really soon and buying a queen-sized bed, but even a cheap bedframe that allows you to keep boxes under your bed and reduce clutter can make you love your space way more.

There are foldable bed frames on Amazon. Lightweight and easy to move solo when I was moving.

I love that you have chosen such a bright color palette. I think white is one of the colors that can create an atmosphere of unparalleled peace, and it works great with most aesthetic styles. I love the attention you have paid to the details, the decorations, and the cozy feeling that each corner conveys, especially the living room area. I have a Togo sofa from Manhattan Home Design in an almost exact color and fabric boucle upholstery, and sometimes I feel like that alone makes my living room an amazing area. Thanks for the tour! You did a great job for the space you are working with! I’m definitely feeling the style you went with. Less is more especially when dealing with small spaces. Light, neutral colors are also a wise choice because if brings in more light into the space and giving the impression that the room is bigger then the actual size. The space has a very happy, calm, zen vibe that is exactly what you want to come home to with all the chaos that goes on in the city! The plants are also another plus that really bring in some life into the space!😁👍

I think the studio is good enough. Well, I won't argue about your palace as long as you're comfort stay there. And yeah, I agree, the kitchen is small, especially with those big cabinets.

As someone who signed the lease for an apartment in nyc (brooklyn) in may of 2022, $2250 for a STUDIO in MANHATTAN sounds soooooo good

Very cool to see how you were able to maximize your space and make it feel super cozy! I am obsessing over trying to maximize a small space I share with my boyfriend and our dog so your video has definitely given me some ideas. I wanted to share a simple "hack" that really made a difference in our bathroom. I bought a wooden basket (found one for $5 at Five Below compared to places that sell them for over $20!!) that can fit perfectly over the top of our toilet and its been great! It keeps everything from hair accessories to hair/beauty products and it helps our space look less busy and it adds in some natural tones to our bathroom, definitely recommend :)
Also for cable management, I recently bought off Amazon a 4 outlet and 4 usb power strip that has an adjustable clamp you can use on the edge of the table or the legs!!! It is amazing so I can easily tuck everything behind my computer screens!

first time I have seen one of your videos and I did notice the lack of bed frame (you helped by mentioning it). Having a bed frame offers you plenty of additional storage options for below the bed. I used to live in flushing and I understand the plight of small space living. Under-bed storage is a huge plus and is something you may want to seriously consider.
Oooh Idea for more counter space !! my mum made a cutting board that fit perfectly in the sinks of our rv! For a very tiny bit still extra counter top/cutting boards style ! Because it’s a small area you can use whatever materials you liked, like cork for instance.

I actually love your bed without frame. It's so cozy! I never do that because I am afraid of the amount of dust and the bed will get dirty faster.

I love a small apartment as much as the next person, but 2.2k a month is nuts imo. Especially for that space.
I love the look of beds without frames but they can be very hard to manage since a lot of dust gather and the amount of insects getting on your bed easier is just so much
Love your place. If I may, here are a few tips to give you a little more room. Move the desk to the right by the window. That space is wasted. Move the couch and coffee table to in front of the bed, so they're not so close together. If you didn't have the floating shelves, you could move that bookshelf separating the bed/couch to where the desk was. The couch and coffee table would now face the bookshelf giving you more room; also, you could put the stools upside down on that rolling cart when not in use so you'd have more space to get into the kitchen area. I'm assuming you eat there, as there isn't a dining table. I have a studio as well, but it's much bigger than this one
Headboards are over rated! A bed frame tip: we bought a folding futon base that is the exact size of the bed, so it’s invisible, but allows air circulation. Love this video, and oh my that kitchen is tiny, well done for getting so much use out of it ❤️

Pretty amazing, 22k views in 2 days, talk about an influencer!😊. You've definitely done as much as you could with the small simple space, the light colors make it seem bigger, less chopped up. But I can see why you want to move on to something more accommodating and with mire outward orientation. It'll be exciting to see, obviously you'll something really tasteful and functional/ max it out. But it's YOU who brings it to life. I think you be take a major step firearm with a bigger place in various ways, definitely you've outgrown it. Good thing you make good money 🙂. Best of luck again in your search!

Sorry to hear that you're moving out, that seems like a great place to continue to grow and change.
This is the biggest nicest apt in this area of town for the rent. I think the kitchen being so small is great as there is more space for the rest of the apt. Your furniture is perfect & I love the couch. My only observation is that it's cluttered. Not going over anything specific, but baskets would help. But since you're moving, it doesn't matter.
This really gives me a lot of confidence to pay 1,500 for my apartment or move into an apartment that's worth 1,500.. thank you
Hi Julia! Loved this video and your place, really beautiful and has its own aesthetic. Have you ever considered having wooden pallets instead of a regular bed frame? It might get along with the style your apartment is going with.

I use a platform metal bed frame for my full/queen size bed. It has 14" storage space underneath. The platform frame supports the mattress without a box spring. I don't have a headboard either. I can use removable wall decor or accent wallpaper instead to save space

Like your use of plants. Like your furniture choices too. Use more boxes and baskets for storage! Yeah what’s the point of a heavy bed frame and head board when you move often. I slept on my futon for years! I think I did more stretching in the a.m. because the floor was so close.

Need shelves in the bathroom over the toilet. You can get a cutting board to fit over the top of the sink. ( provides extra work space). Bed frame would provide under storage space. Good Luck finding a new place.

Headboards aren't necessary, but I suggest getting a captain's bed. They can appear sleek, and they provide you will lots of storage. That's what I'll be getting.
