Another excellent episode, and Chris Corry was great to listen to with his knowledge working on the game. Thank you for the jabs at the AWFUL Disney sequel trilogy lol! I have so many memories playing Star Wars Starfighter on the PS2 with my eldest brother when he first bought his PS2. Good times indeed. My favorite Star Wars game of all-time is actually Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire on the N64! That was my first N64 game I ever played and beat, and I know I may wear nostalgia goggles when playing that game...but damn that was an awesome game.
Chris was a great guest, and I was happy to have him on the show. His knowledge in programming and overall experience at LucasArts was a treat to hear. LOL I knew if someone would love my jabs at Disney Star Wars it'd be you! I'm happy that you have those memories of playing this with your brother, I'm sure it was a special experience for him too. I need to play Shadows of the Empire! I've heard some awesome things about it but I really don't know too much about it. Even cooler that was your first N64 game that you beat. Nothing wrong with nostalgia goggles, we all wear them haha. Thanks for watching live buddy!
Great work on the video! Thanks for featuring my video :)
Thanks for a wonderful cover, you're very talented! I can't wait to see where your YT career goes.
Really cool to hear how excited he was to meet George Lucas and kind could have cared less
Haha yeah, it’d be so cool to meet George Lucas. I’m sure George is sick of everyone now
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 take 10!! Lol. I was butchering the hell out of that word! Lol. Thanks for giving me the chance to stop by your channel bro.
LMAO! You crushed it buddy! Thanks for helping the fact of the day, always proud to be your friend
Awesome show as always. My favorite Star Wars game hands down is Knights of the Old Republic. It's still one of Mt favorites to play today and has one of the greatest stories still seen today. Then for more of a hidden gem, I really enjoyed Republic Commando
Thanks for watching buddy! KOTOR is in my top five favorite games of all time... it's just an incredible experience. Wonderful choice! Republic Commando is one I have but haven't played yet... i need to change that soon!
So cool to hear further insights with the industry particularly concerning George Lucas!! Great interview with Chris.
I still need to check this game out!
Have a goodun 👍😊🕹️
I can't imagine meeting George Lucas and what an amazing conversation that could have been, especially working on his franchise. Chris was stellar, it was great listen to his stories. Thanks for watching buddy! I always appreciate your kind words.
Loving the format of this show
Thanks man! I think it's pretty cool if I don't say so myself.
Damn, hate that I missed one of your videos again, but fantastic work as always dude!
My guy! No worries, I'm always so humbled to receive a comment or view from you. Thank you for taking time out of your day to watch it. Hope all is well with my favorite patron at the Mos Eisley Cantina!
Bro!! Killer Episode and that music guest😮 loved it
Thanks my guy! Every artist that has performed has been amazing
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames yea I see super well done!
This game was just amazing, idk what it is about it but it was perfect
So glad you found this! This was a fun video to put together. Thanks for watching!
Lucasarts was pivotal in my formative years! Dark Forces 2 is still one of my all-time-favorites (I know, controversial)😀
I never played Star Fighter when it was new. I bought it about 4 or 5 years ago, and had some good fun with it (though I didn't take the time to beat it).
Lol, I love the commercial breaks. I definitely remember all of those commercials.
Really cool content! I love the Chris Corry audio!
Wow, thanks for watching and giving me such kind feedback in a comment. I still need to play Dark Forces 2 and I'll add that to my list of Star Wars games I need to experience. Star Fighter is fun, but it's about the middle of the road for me. I love the commercials, I always put them in to try and put the view back into that timeframe as the commercials coincide with the year the game was released. Thanks again for the encouragement! Hope to see you around.
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames DF2 has some spots where you can get stuck because the map doesn't make it clear where to go and it seems like only a crazy person would jump in that hole. There are also a couple places where you have to destroy machinery with your lightsaber, and it isn't clear so you can wander around stuck for a while. It also has a place or 2 where you can only see where to go in 1st-person mode, so if you're in 3rd person, you'll just be stuck. It also (as far as I am aware) doesn't work with the modern Voodoo emulators, so you have to play it in software render mode, which is a bit uglier than it was in its hay-day.
But- after all those caveats, it is a really fun game with sprawling maps that really feels like it belongs in the Star Wars universe where humans are sometimes an after-thought to the mega-machines that structures and areas should be designed for.
Mysteries of the Sith is in the same engine, and largely has the same caveats, but is also a fun game.
Whoa, thanks for all the tips and advice! To be honest, it sounds even cooler now! I love solving that type of stuff so Dark Forces 2 seems like a perfect match for me. I'm VERY curious about Mysteries of the Sith.... I'll be honest I've never heard of it so I'm going to look it up. Would be very cool to discover a new Star Wars game! Ohhh nice it looks like an expansion pack for DF2. I need to play these soon!!
Great show again buddy 👏
I can’t thank you enough for watching! Always a pleasure to receive a comment from you
Awesome episode. As a star wars normie it was an excellent video
Star Wars Normies unite! Thanks for tuning in buddy, always great to interact with you during the episode.
Dang I missed it live again, but this is so cool. As for the game, I've heard of it but not played it and it seems kinda similar to the Rogue Squadron games [including Battle for Naboo].
Hey Viddy! Yeah, it's very similar to the Rogue Squadron games and Battle for Naboo. I still need to properly play through that series. Thanks for watching buddy, hope all is well!
I’ve never played this game but it looks fun. My favorite Star Wars game is Obi Wan on the Xbox. Of course you have to play it correctly which means doing lightsaber battles with your friends instead of the story mode
Lol Yeah.... Obi-Wan.... I'll review that someday. We can do the lightsaber mode just for you. 😘
Also will you ever possibly do an episode on the Rogue Squadron games or even better, Republic Commando?
ABSOLUTELY!! There's a ton of Star Wars games I'd like to give focus on. I'd love to create episodes for them... I know for sure I'll be doing episodes on each Battlefront game, and the KOTOR games. Great suggestions buddy! (I also wanted to state, I know I rip Disney a lot in this episode, *_BUT_* I don't rip Star Wars fans who enjoy the content. I'll never gatekeep a franchise and you should be able to enjoy and love ANY Star Wars content. Just because I don't care for it, doesn't mean others can't! : ) Can't wait to get into more Star Wars games. Thanks for watching buddy!
Awesome episode Seth!😀
Thanks Mark! I always appreciate you checking these out. Hope that new relationship is still going great!
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames thanks! So far soo good. 😊
Disney comments great!
Good show. I don't think I have played this one. I have it on steam and after watching this I need to give it a go.
Hehe, I did give Disney a good ribbing. All in good nature though. I would definitely give this game a shot, there's some pretty good stuff with it and I found it enjoyable. Thanks for watching buddy!
12:27 What the hell? Some sort of Inverted LOD texture? LESS detail the closer you get?
Your guess is as good as mine! I have no idea why it was doing that. Thanks for watching!
