  • The United States just released a new super fighter that is more powerful than the F-twenty-two Raptor! With this new development, the battle for technological dominance between three world powers is nearing an end with the United States still at the fore-front. This super fighter is unstoppable, unbeatable and extremely lethal, leaving chaos in its wake and just as you imagined, this new technology has left China and Russia, the US’ greatest rivals unsettled as they are forced to watch the unveiling of an air-fighter that can wipe them out in a minute. What fighter jet is set to replace the raptor? What are the capabilities that it boasts of?

      Yeah the A-10 should be replaced because its a vulnerable asset that brings literally nothing to the table until its combat air support in a SAM free environment. You know what would be better? An AH-64E. Its only 100kts slower than the A-10, carries the same amount of tank killing missiles, has a pretty beefy 30mm itself, and can survive on the modern battlefield. Cheaper too. Theres not a single aircraft that cant do the A-10s role right now, even including B-52s.

    How disappointing that the F-22 will retire while the Su-57 still hasn't gone into production. As for the F-15 that has seen combat... still the undefeated champion of the world. Finally, for the A-10, it'll be a sad day for Soldiers and Marines that got air support from it when it retires.

      I'm way more satisfied than disappointed. Anytime you can outperform and produce more than any adversary, especially in aircraft it's a damn good thing.

      I have serious doubts that the much hyped NGAD is going to be such a leap that it would make the F22 obsolete. If they are so obsolete that they are being retired - no harm in selling them to our allies right? We’d have so many orders that it would pay for the R&D.

    • @mrrobot8973
      @mrrobot8973 Před měsícem +1

      @@drkvengerthey wouldn’t be obsolete, not even close. The Raptor is extremely expensive to simply upkeep, far more expensive than fighters that are still used and very capable such as the F15 & 16. It’s a mix of cost and tech secrecy that will ensure the 22 never sees another owner outside the U.S. and will be retired there. (The F35 NATO allies get is not the U.S.’s most advanced F35 version, & unlike the F22 it was built to also be sold ..for comparison sake )

      @@DEVILDOG1964 the only aircraft that hasnt performed its intended mission in the last 30 years is the A-10. It cant perform its mission because it cant defend itself in a SAM environment and needs SEAD aircraft to suppress in order to do its mission. It hasnt killed a single tank in 30 years, and the gun is only good for shooting cars. Its an awesome aircraft for sure, but only when theres nothing threatening it. The F-35 can defend itself AND kill tanks in the same mission. Doesnt need a 30mm gun to do that, which btw..it has in the form of a gun pod on the centerline. You know what killed more armor in the gulf war the first time around? The F-111. Nobody likes to talk about those statistics because the A-10 is their favorite aircraft.

    The F22 is supposed to replace the F15, but they're so expensive that we don't have enough to fully replace the F15. The F35 is supposed to replace the F16 (for the AF), but the Navy and Marines use the F35 to replace other aircraft. The B1-B Lawn Dart, I mean Lancer, needs to be replaced. I used to work backshop avionics for those, and every time the pilots would take those things up for training missions, stuff would break. Replacing one circuit card would cost $50k to replace, and many parts were even more expensive. I don't understand retiring F22s, even if they're an older model, when they still have F15s and F16s in service that are over 50 years old. F22 and F35 are incredible aircraft, but they cost so much money to build, and since the Biden Administration decided to send $70 billion American tax payer dollars to Ukraine, so we can't really afford to buy them now.

      I don't think it's as simple as a 1-to-1 model or capability replacement. Things are changing too quickly for that to be viable. It's probably not just a different distribution of capabilities across platforms but a change in total capabilities as well, IMO.

    The aircraft being stealth will have no bearing in close air support If you can see it, you can shoot it The f-35a is going to have billions of dollars of repairs in a cas configuration or an attempt for close air support. The a-10 has two engines for a specific reason. Now you want to send a one engine aircraft at low altitude as slow as it can go before stall to support ground forces. With our tax dollars. When the a-10 in a titanium tub with half its wings off and half a tail and one engine without hydraulics can get back to the base saving the pilot. You would rather put $100 million aircraft in that environment. You can't tell me you can't see the writing on the wall on that really. Mr. Magoo can see that 🫣

    The military wants to retire proven aircraft and replace them with other aircraft not yet developed. If they were ready to go into production that would be one thing but they're not. These leaves us vulnerable from China and Russia. And what if these aircraft under development have unforeseen problems that drives their development further into the future? Then we're vulnerable for that much longer. Anticpating something is not the same as having replacements ready to go, particularly in the dangerous world we occupy now. Who are these people and what makes them think they're so smart. They certainly are not showing any smarts. Wake them up before it's too late.

    Frank Kendall said that NGAD needs to have twice the operational radius of the F35 at the same cost as the F35. This is because China has developed ultra-long-range anti-aircraft missiles that can target tankers. The weapon bay can be the same size as the F35 because the CCA (Collaborative Combat Aircraft) carries the missiles.The US Navy also needs a fighter with twice the operational radius of the FA18. Stealth is the lowest requirement for carrier-based aircraft because the weapon bay is difficult to install and remove missiles.
    The new design of GCAP meets the requirements of both the US Air Force and the US Navy. The US Navy needs twin-engine aircraft.
    Let's work with Boeing to get the US Air Force and US Navy on board.
    Lockheed Martin could create a revised NGAD by enlarging the wings and fuel tanks of the F-35.
    Fighters would have to visually identify friendly targets with broken identification friend or foe systems before firing a missile.
    If missile launches were left to the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA), there would be no need for a weapons bay, reducing manufacturing and maintenance costs.

    Question : how many of these can you produce and operate given financial situation of US government.
    Not many.

    • @davelopez4046
      @davelopez4046 Před 3 měsíci

      So did you answer your question? "Not Many"? 🤔
      The United States currently has the largest operational aircraft fleet in the entire world. Doctrine maintains certain numbers must be fully operational and maintained to be able to fight and defend both our shores at any given moment. And that's just for our shores and airfields at home. Those deployed are an entirely crazy set of additional units and numbers as well.
      So if by "Not Many" you mean the MOST & MORE than any other country(s) even combined, here on planet Earth? Then yeah totally! 🤣
      Oh, and our "Financial Situation" is a defense budget of almost $900 BILLION dollars. Which also happens to be more than every single country in the world, COMBINED. 🤣
