Best High Yield Dividend Companies Right Now (ASX Australia) 2024

  • Here are the best dividend companies listed on the ASX right now.
    I'll show you what I look for and which companies I would consider for my portfolio. Generally, I'm looking for companies with a strong dividend yield (generally over 5%). That are consistent and stable in paying out. And companies where the price is increasing also over the long term.
    From my research, eleven companies fit my investing criteria of what I'm looking for as a dividend investor.
    I'll also research the top five companies to show you how I'd narrow the list of possible investments.
    I hope you enjoy the video.
    Happy Investing in 2024!
    Tracey :)

    Financial planning is like navigation. If you know where you are and where you want to go, navigation isn't such a great problem. It's when you don't know the two points that it's difficult

    Thanks Tracey , Could you please tell us why you included WHC as being consistent dividend payer , but said FMG was not consistent , when WHC paid almost no dividend in 2020 , paid no dividend at all in 2021 , while FMG has yielded big dividends every year for the last 5 years ?
    (and the share price has increased by nearly six times .)

    • @TraceyEdwards
      @TraceyEdwards  Před 3 měsíci

      It's really a gut feeling sometimes.
      With FMG (which I do own and like), the dividends have been trending downwards over the last three years. Still a great yield though.
      With WHC, they didn't pay after the covid period so sometimes I'm okay with that, and they are paying again, and divs look like they are growing again (as they were prior to 2020).
      I could be wrong, but that was my reasoning :)
      Happy Investing!

      @@TraceyEdwards Thanks for your reply Tracey.
      I think we will see in the next two weeks , that FMG dividends are growing again , possibly up by 20% or more , while WHC dividends will decline this year , but will increase in the longer term thanks to their acquisition of BHP's coal assets.
      Exciting times..

    What is Franking? Why do some have 100% and others 0%?

    • @TraceyEdwards
      @TraceyEdwards  Před 4 měsíci +2

      franking refers to how much company tax has been paid. 100% franking is good for most investors because they'll get the tax benefit come tax time :)
