I love Altair’s journey from a arrogant and hotheaded killer to a wise sage who sought knowledge and wisdom
Nothing is true! Everything is permitted!
Altair was an assassin above all , born into the order of assassins , killing was the thing he was known for , he was promoted to master assassin in his 20s because he was skilled and always finished the job , he did not have time for women or chasing his desires , he was a man of comittement and focus , and let's be honest he was an arrogant bastard in the begining but that's the beaty of hs character , being as skilled as him all of us will let that get into our head , imagine being in your 20s and having the nickname : the best assassin of his era
The OG. The one who started it all. The most legendary and skilful Assassin of them all. The ultimate blueprint of an Assassin. The one who Ezio himself looked up to his whole life. Altaïr ibn La-Ahad is the GOAT of the franchise.
For me the most impactful moment is altair's memory 5 being a stark contrast from memory 1 in revelation.
In memory one he was a naive young man convinced that the brotherhood is the solution and has no regrets about his life with the touch of Al Mualim telling him he will find a way to regret his life as an assassin in time.
In memory 5 we see an unnaturaly old altair who is likely one of the wisest people in his lifetime due to him outclipsing by far the average lifespan of 13th century levant
He reflects on his youth and how foolish he was to believe being an assassin would help achieve peace, that he regrets being an assassin for so long despite the choice of living another life. That he hates the apple, it's secrets and his mental (and physical) dependance on it. But ending up on a lighter note that he doesn't regret his new purpose of finding the truth
Altair purposefully made his library as his tomb with his story being a cautionary tale. Far more valuable than books
1:38:56 Exactly why Altair is the GOAT
That box arr for AC 1 is one of my favorite of all time. It is so simple yet iconic. Every other game should have followed thar template.
Nowadays they try to cram the entire country of whatever setting is featured in the game on the box art.
I totally agree those first couple of boxes were iconic, it’s a shame now they look so generic
AC may not have use it these days, but almost every other modern high budget game and movie does.
I’ll admit I was one of those people who also thought of the mission developments as rather repetitive (save for the pieces between the start and finish of each one in which we see Altaïr’s subtle character development), but the idea of these missions having a benefit in-story of drilling into Altaïr’s head what it actually means to be an Assassin makes that method of storyline a lot more interesting than it first appears
I say this often but I like Altair's character. I like him moreso than Ezio. He gives me psychopathic vibes, like a master assassin but with the action plan and ruthlessness of a templar. He's not an emotional person and he's perfect for the job.
In the Assasasins Creed boek the secret crusade from Oliver Bowden explains tels Altaïr ibn La ahad entier live
Man that scene of Altair sitting down with the disc before panning over to Ezio holding the same disc just hits different. And I didn't even play Revelations
I love your vids , can tell you put so much work into these character analyses. Bayek next by any chance !? 🔥
Altaïr didnt look into the future to make the hidden gun, he literally made it. He made the original blueprints for it that Leonardo used to make Ezio’s.
The Eagle…The Mentor…The GOAT! Altair Ibn La Ahad
I was 16 when AC 1 was released. I'd always been a fan of assassins and assassin games, and I'd played the Hitman games extensively.
Altair was the coolest video game character I'd ever experienced, and AC 1 was a masterpiece. It was a completely fresh idea, with a new play style, which sucked me in from the get go.
I love all the AC games, even the newer ones, but Altair is the goat for me. Bayek is a close second.
Unexciting presentation of the conversations or not, if people are unironically breaking out their phones when Altair is talking to Al Mualim, they never cared about the narrative in the first place, and probably have ADHD.
I like to believe that losing Adha caused Altaïr to lose faith in the Creed and Al-Mualim's favouritism gave him the ego to turn him from the first Revelations memory to Altaïr from AC1.
Love your videos man, the character specific deep dives are wonderful
Well done for the video, Altair needs more spotlight !
I notice now that on the world map at the end there are political boundries that don't exist everywhere on it. lol.
This was awesome great job
He was the most Gifted and Loyal Assassin of them all, straight Professional Servant of the Original Creed.
I actually cried reading the other stories about the one our man. We dearly loved he Didn't have a happy ending
😮🤯😲 this is going tho be good
Lovely video :D
1:34:22 😂😂😂 always amazed by your videos, ty very much 😊
Absolute Banger
Thank you!
Haven't even really started the video yet, but my favourite assassins are Altair and Connor.
So chances are, yeah I think Altair is a good character people just didn't give enough time.
It is remarkable
Thank you so much for this video. I love your analysis of assassin’s creed one. Unfortunately, I’m not too fond of some of your takes on assassin’s creed revelations in regard to character development. In the video you stated that Philip had different versions of the original Altair accent, and you said that there were videos of it online. I haven’t been able to find any of them. Would you mind linking them?
i thought that Malik was the one in charge when altair left to fight against the monghols and that abbas staged a coup against him
icl this was beautiful
Thank you so much! :,)
I finished the game, for a 2007 game, it is great
The whole lead up and the actual events of the memory seal 3 in AC R are so contrived it hurts.
Do an analysis on Demaond next, he's underrated
suggestion: analyze haytham, shay, bayek and even characters from other games such as jin sakai
16:05
i think the armour was only the plates. The suit was added by the Auditore family when they had the keys
Willis, could you make char. Analysis to harold finch, person of interest ?
I have to agree with Altairs robes being my favorite as well, but also Bayek Hidden One's Master Assassin Robes are tied with it for different reasons.
When are you going to do Bayek
I’m glad we never got anymore altiar content
honestly now that you said it
yes i agree
perfect legacy and every one refuses to touch it
good
If you’re saying it because it saved him from
being ruined? Then yes I agree. But if it’s because you think he was not good…dude…that’s an insult to the greatest assassin of all time.
@@abdurrehmanali7 no it's because we're saying he's the best not the other lol
I'm not
You gonna cover basim at all or eivor she may not be an assassin but still a progtag in the series
It seems the assassin that died as collateral damage and the killing of an innocent man which probably was not his first time was karma. He changed and became a noble leader but with crime there is still punishment.
❤❤❤
💯💯💯💯💯
25:40 And a conveniently placed haystack
Sorry but the original Altaïr voice was so much better
They call Connor “boy” because they’re racist not because he’s young 😂
I see altair far more charismatic than ezio
you just butchered my name 🤣🤣🤣
it's easy to say Majd
