Does that work with 4 or 8 TB. I purchased one it works fine till 2:00 TB and then coverted HDD to formatable Drive when I connected the 4TB. And stopped detecting it even.
On their website it says it should work up to 16TB.
why there is adaptor to oultet? i thought you just connect it to laptop or pc like external memoruncard/ where to buy?
I think it's because 3.5 inch hard drives need more power which USB plugs can't provide. Only 2.5 inch ones work like that.
What was the speed that you got from it ?

There are some ventilation holes at the bottom but I suppose that's also dependent on the HDD model. To get an idea, with my Seagate, after 4 runs of Crystal disk mark (20 minutes continuous) the drive temp went from 22 C to 36 C
Ps5 compatible?
I can't tell you for sure but if in general, you can connect an external drive to it and it works, I don't see why this wouldn't work. I don't have a PS5 to test it.
is it compatible with Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB hdd?
Should be compatible with most SATA drives I believe, I only tested it with my Barracuda version.
You have to format the drive to use?
Hi. My drive wasn't new but I think you can install a new, unformatted drive in the enclosure, connect it to the PC and then format it. Don't think you need to format prior installing in the enclosure. In Windows, you can find all the drives (even unformatted ones) by searching Disk Management. Thanks for watching!
Can i connect with ssd 2.5 without power cable?
No, it seems like it powers it's circuit only through it's power adapter, not through USB. Without the power cable it won't turn on.
