Red Rocket Farewell . This VHS tape covers the final week of Toronto's wonderful old PCC Streetcars in operation in December of 1995. We ride the 506 Carlton, 505 Dundas, and 504 King Streetcar lines. Includes runbys and pacing shots of Toronto PCC streetcars, plus 1980s winter footage. 90 minutes.

Thank you for great video. I lived in East York and went to school at Central Tech so I could attend the Aircratt Mtc Cource. I rode the Red Rocket every day . I especially remember the Rocket giving her across the Bloor viaduct, Hang on!

Great video. So much fantastic footage including the random blow torching the switch on the CN (now Richmond Hill Line) in the Don. But for me, the beat part was seeing the TTC ops driving those PCCs at a good speed.

I loved riding on the PCCs. My mobility has made it difficult to ride anymore, so I appreciate the modern streetcars that can extend the ramp. But I miss the days of the PCC.

WOW! Good portions of this video really took me down Memory Lane. Thank you for sharing this video with us! It’s a real shame that the PCC streetcars are no longer serving Toronto.
It’s my understanding that a few PCCs are preserved at a streetcar museum along the Milton/Guelph border; I hope to hop aboard it whenever I get to visit that museum. (-:

Its an old VHS tape I found at a railroad shop a few years ago. Its not in great conditon but it captured some interesting moments in Toronto's history
