Great video. I am going to use your idea and steal your dimensions and build this for my daughter. She leaves for college in a couple of days and this will be perfect. She actually pointed me in your direction and after watching , yes other you tube vids, yours is the most appealing. Easy to understand , step by step. Five Stars.
Hi Angela, thanks for this video, i used it as inspiration. Back in the spring my husband and I found a beautifully perfect tree branch that had fallen from a huge cedar tree in the forest behind our house. We carted that home and let it dry out all summer till now. We cut it in half and I can't believe it was a perfect six feet after the cut. Using your dimensions for the cross pieces, we drilled the holes, stained the cross pieces and put it all together. I love it. Our house is far from rustic, however, I think it makes the family room look a little more cozy as I transition to winter and Christmas. My blankets look amazing. So thanks again, much appreciated. Have a wonderful Christmas Season.
This is such an amazing story to hear, thank you so much for sharing!! Your version sounds like a truly special piece, I'm so glad that I could help inspire your vision!!
Good job Angela!! nice and simple!
Thank you so much! :)
Instead of a spade bit try a Forstner bit. This will not grab and try and pull through like that spade bit does and while a little more costly upfront they last for a long time.
Thanks for the tip! I have heard of them but haven't tried them out before.
Angela Marie Made my pleasure. You will find the holes are always much cleaner and easier to center in my opinion
Just made this today and stained with an espresso stain! I am excited to put it in the living room! Thanks for the tutorial
Sounds beautiful!! 😍
So cute!! Never would have thought to make my own from scratch! I'll be doing this, but I actually have a few old ladders, but thank you for sharing!! :O)
That's awesome, that will save you some time for sure. Wooden ladders are surprisingly hard to come by anymore.
My wife wants me to make this today -_-
The download isn't so easy to get. Too many hoops.
