Really enjoyed the video! I recognize some of these plants from South Florida also. Amazing! Great information that I can pass on to friends & family. Please go back & explain or show how each is used for those of us non-Jamaicans! I remember some of these herbs, like the castor oil, the peppermint, the breadfruit, and hibiscus, spearmint, etc., growing up as one of my aunts was a nurse, and she was privy to some of these herbs, & weeds for medicinal purposes. She used some to make hair tonic for us too.

Totally educational ! Thanks! Learned a lot more about some plants benefits! In my country Belize, king of the forest is called Pissabed, we use the leaves directly on the skin for ringworm and both the leaves and especially the flowers we use as a purge, because as I understand it’s a member of the senna family.

Thanks so much for this and well done Mr. Broderick for preserving our endemic and historic roots for the future.
So many plants have been lost in urbanization so great to see this.

Very informative. The inclusion of the latin names of the plants reduces the risk of the confusion caused by different local names for the same plant. It takes the video up a notch. Semi-contract aka worm grass: wild cilantro aka bandania or shadow beni; spanish needle aka rabbit feed; jack in the bush aka christmas bush; devil's horse whip aka man better man
