    One of the key thing he said is that (cold stores has changed his mind on housing) what it means is that Cold store is more lucrative and that makes sense because of the climate condition in Ghana. From vegetables to Fish in UK storage facilities are also lucrative. I think cold stores at least massive ones should be opened in farming regions and storage stores so farmers and traders can store their goods safely and longer. Cold stores can help regulate food prices such as tomatoes as they can be stored longer without spoiling. Tomatoes is key food ingredients in Ghana because of our cultural foods only a few foods do not require tomatoes. Here am focusing on foods that do not do well with heat. To Ken I hope he invest in solar energy because his roof tops on the cold stores can be used for it saving money long term.

    Real estate in Accra is not driven by any logical economic factors but by GREED. I laugh at some of the prices being asked.
    I am in the process of purchasing land in Accra to build my dream home, not buy those small houses they ask $450,000 for, no wonder those houses sit there empty for years, while mosquitos, cockroaches and rats occupy them.

      As a professional broker, i will advise you put up your own building . It gives you the opportunity to focus on quality and save money .
      Just for your information , there are mainly two types of lands ; state land and customary land ( stool land and family). Customary land is normally full of litigation but once due diligence is done you can buy the right land . The purchase of a family/stool land is invalid without the consent of the head of the family or the subject of the stool.
      However, you can feel free and reach out to me as I guide you to buy a genuine land .
      Thanks

    The market us only saturated because all the developers are looking at the middle to high-end luxury market when there is real market for the lower to middle income market. The masses are lower income earners so there should be a program for that sect of our society. The urban MMDCEs can take this up in partnership with wealthy indigenes.

He is just over pricing his assets ..many people are in Accra struggling to even find accommodation so his statement is very dishonest. The real facts are there you just have to look for them instead of believing everything online or anything a rich person says.

    So Accra is more expensive than Sydney? Not true

    • @charpemetal9514
      @charpemetal9514 Před rokem +4

      Yes it is. Accra is the most expensive city in Africa and 3rd most expensive in the world. Expensive is relative to per capita income. So the cost of living is higher relative to the earning. So as he is saying in terms of real estate it’s much more difficult to acquire. Other places are also expensive but averagely you earn more money in those countries. The average individual salary in Ghana is 860 cedis. While the average house in Accra now cost $160,000. So there is a huge deficit. Real estate in Accra has become out of reach to 90% of people plus if you consider the future most people aged below 27 would never be homeowners due to soaring prices.

      @@gingerbreadmangangafarmer2251 No I haven’t but I’ve live in London and it’s way more expensive than Sydney. The chances of saving and buying a home living in London is higher than living in Accra. The educated working class in Accra averages $6000 a year due to the dollar rate. In London it’s 50,000 pounds which is about 57,000 dollars a year. The average savings a year is relatively about 6000 pounds which translates to 7000dollars ish because of the high living cost. Relatively in Accra averagely if you should even save half of the money you make that’s on average salary the barrier to entry is out of reach. House prices would continue to increase. Most people just won’t be able to afford in the future.
