- Its been 2 months since the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (the second game in the final fantasy 7 remake project) and now the final fantasy 7 rebirth ultimania book has been released in Japan. With it includes interviews with the developers and directors including spoilers and other information about the game and the games ending. Plus some cool extra bits. Lets take a look!
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. It is a sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020) and the second in a planned trilogy of games remaking the 1997 PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII.
Like its predecessor, the gameplay combines real-time action with strategic and role-playing elements. Set immediately after Remake's events, players control mercenary Cloud Strife and a party of characters principally comprising the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE, who embark on a journey across the Planet to prevent the megacorporation Shinra from exploiting its life essence, the Lifestream, as an energy source, and defeat former elite SOLDIER Sephiroth, who seeks to unite with the Planet to achieve greater power.

There is so much in the Ultimania. It’s really cool looking at the interviews and concept art.
I like that this book basically confirmed and cleared up some stuff but you don’t have to actively seek it out.
Lots saying they wanted no questions at the end of the game. But this is part 2 of a set of 3. So the answers will be answered in the final game. I’m excited to see the whole thing in 3 years.

@@pipsqueaksgaming7029she’s not dead, it’s unknown right now because she’s alive in a timeline where she lived after that scene, that’s why it cuts between her having blood and her not having blood
@linden272 don't think that scene was a timeline thing. think it's more likely Cloud not being able to cope with her death and is choosing to believe a "reality" where he saves her.
Really hope we get a Godzilla minus one ending.

I think the empty materia orb is the black materia and Jenova switched the real white materia with the black materia. It’s Jenova manipulating Cloud so that he brings the black materia to Sephiroth at the crater

Considering that SquareEnix continue to put in the game and suggest Jenova has been the main antagonist all along and yet refuse to acknowledge that in any of these "Ultimanias" might be the most disappointing thing if they don't reveal that in the third game.
They cannot spoil you the end of the game,ain't It???But....consider that they have already spent all the bosses we used to fight in the final Battle in the OG,Is quite sure that the ultimate boss in the third part Will not be Sephiroth.Since this Trilogy is a kind if closure,it seems reasonable that,finally,We'll be able to get rid of Jenova once and for all

It won’t be called reunion. Crisis core has that name.

@@DirectGamingYT i thought the same thing at first, but i still believe that it’ll be titled reunion. it fits all of the major plot points and theme, but definitely curious what you think it may be titled if not reunion. a subtitle beginning with “re” is a given and i doubt it will be revival or return or reremake.
@@l0_0l revival is a possibility if the bring back Aerith lmao. But reunion would make the most sense
@@aaron4757 i thought similarly, but revival seems too similar to rebirth. maybe revelation, possibly redemption-or they drop the naming convention all together, but i doubt that.

Yes. Tifa and Cloud have some very important parts in the second half of the og so part 3 will be a big moment for them.

Because of what’s happening with his mind right now. She knows something is wrong with him and not sure how to help him while also trying to process Aerith death. Part 3 will expand on this

I def felt they could’ve just made a proper remake while adding in Compilation elements without needlessly complicating the story for intrigues sake while undermining scenes. Idk that any answer they could give for any of the mysteries they set up will justify nearly a decade waiting for them. It comes off as like a season ending with cliffhangers to get the viewers to watch next season
I see this a lot and I get it. That being said we all knew this was going to be 3 games. So while a scene might not hit a hard as it did 30 years ago (let’s be honest it was never going to), they can still make other scenes even more impactful. Especially with what is coming in part 3. Heck rebirth had some amazing scenes not even in the og. Like the reactor in gongaga and more.
It’s possible the scene will play out as intended in part 3. Probably when Cloud if having his memories restore. Maybe at the intro as a recollection of another character like Tifa. I say this because Cloud’s voice actor was talking about recording the scene and what he was talking about didn’t end up in Rebirth. Suppose they could have cut it completely though, but I doubt it.

@@the_argus5142 sure they could do it later. That doesn’t mean it’ll have any impact. Much like a lotta things in this remake series it would seem more like a checklist thing than a scene that has any impact.
This Is not a remake 🙄
If Aerith dies, it entirely defeats the purpose of remaking the game and altering the story like they did. At the end of Remake when we "defy/defeat Destiny" the obvious implication of that is Aerith surviving this time around. There is no way the devs didn't know that is what the Remake ending would imply. In fact, it's the only reason I bought and played Remake and Rebirth. Aerith's death in the OG was the reason I quit playing the game, and still haven't finished it to this day. I mean, she dies then 10 minutes later you're snowboarding and riding Chocobos. I couldn't take the game seriously after that. To me, Aerith is by far the most interesting character, simply killing her off feels like a slap in the face. Especially this time around. To me, it would be like having a Spider-man movie, without Spider-man. With the exception of maybe Cloud, I genuinely wouldn't care if any other character was to die.
Yeah Aerith is both alive in dead we just waiting for a clear answer until part 3
So basically, this new FF game is basically FF7 original but with very detailed lifestream shenanigans. WACK.

@DirectGamingYT I'm glad someone at least likes it. It's a no for me, unfortunately. I didn't wait this long, just to have the same story again when, in the first part, it was about changing fate and etc. It's a punch in the guy IMO.

@@tonyxiong4913 they've been saying they were generally keeping the original storyline the same since before Remake even released. I understand disliking what they're doing, but they've definitely been very open that they were staying fairly true to the original.

We already knew the game was done and VA was coming in. 3 years is a bit long, i dont like it being on some special day. Just make it good, then let us celebrate when it comes out. If the game is playable for 700 hours ill wait. If not NVM.
ILL BE MAD BECAUSE ITLL BE PS6, PS7 by then. Ugh. Not to mention things are so unstable right now that we have to make sure that we even get to that year I feel bad for people who have cancer or some terminal illness who will not get to enjoy this they should at least be able to go to the developer studio and see what they have fleshed out as long as they sign non-disclosure agreement or something
the bloat i hated was all the damn minigames. i want an RPG not an arcade sim. it was just so not needed.
