    All these forms of therapy are getting the patient into a relaxed-zen-asmr mood. I love the concept and I watch the video to give me asmr relaxation but real life is different.

    Really pleased to see more of these videos, thank you for sharing. I found what you said about allowing the joints and muscles to recalibrate really interesting. I experience social anxiety and when I’m feeling uncomfortable I find I hold myself in a way that puts stress on my neck back and shoulders. I’ll definitely keep your advice of neutralising and resetting in my head 🙏🏻

      Yes, the mind and body are truly one and the same. When we try and control out difficult feelings, the body takes on the strain. And when we allow ourselves little by little to experience our struggles, the body does not need to carry the burden. And so when a person feels more and the need for control softens, the body is left alone to recalibrate and recover all by itself. Take care,

    I certainly do need to receive the benefits of being treated by an Alexander teacher. In ‘ imitation ‘ of my dear Dad, a very tall, but perennially stooped, buzzard-postured bloke,..I’ve long had a dreadful slouch. And now it’s worsening. 😢To the extent that I often find myself ‘ finishing the process ‘ by suddenly ‘ collapsing ‘ my neck into an almost horizontal position, accompanied by a bizarre,corresponding effort to lift the head forward & up.

    Is that stool a little bit too high? When she's sat down her heels are not flush with the floor or doesn't that matter during this technique?

      Good question Matt. Actually, we have to learn how to cope with a wide range of furnitures and life situations. So you are right. It doesn't really matter.
