The word erroneously translated "hope" in IC13.13 and many other verses, is the Greek noun "elpis". This word and it's verb "elpizo" DOES NOT define or express "hope"! No, the word is more accurately translated "expectation" NOT "hope".
The biblical concept of "hope" is expressed in the Greek verb "prosdokao" NOT elpizo. If you examine the various contexts surrounding prosdokao (hope) you see that this word ALWAYS contains an element of uncertainty due to not knowing something for sure.
*L1.21 And the people were HOPING (prosdoakao) for Zechariah, and they marveled while he the was behind time in the temple."*
*L3.15 But in that the people were HOPING (prosdokao), and all were overconsidering (not certain) in their the hearts concerning John, if not at when some time it shows, that he, yea he, is the Christ"*
When one uses the word "hope" they are expressing uncertainty....always! Sadly, the church today tragically uses this expression out of context due to faulty bible translations turning what should be expressed in confidence as mere uncertain "hope".
You see, the word family of elpis and elpizo ALWAYS expressed CONFIDENCE due to knowing something and having faith in what you know is true and what can be EXPECTED (elpizo) not "hoped for" (prosdokao). Why, because God has promised and spoken such matters of fact that you can put confidence in not merely hope for.
*1C13.13 But now abide faithing, EXPECTATION (elpis), love, the these three; but the greater of these is the love."*
Sadly, all bible translations have wreaked havoc and mishandled this word family of elipis/elpizo by translating ALL of the many occurrences as "hope" when it should be translated according to EXPECTATION. There's a HUGE difference between hope and expectation my friends and we need to begin to renew the spirit of our thinking because to define "hope" as confidence is complete nonsense.

Regardless of how noble your ideas are in using the cross as a reminder of your walk in Christ, it is still anti-biblical and should not be used. Here is an excerpt from Forerunner Commentary: “The second commandment forbids us of any physical representation of something used in the worship of G-d. It prohibits anything that tries to represent divinity in a physical way, such as pictures and statues. The crucifix (an image of Jesus on the cross) certainly fits into that category. Even though the stated intent is for use as a remembrance of Christ, and the crucifixion, G-d commands us not to use any image or likeness in our worship of Him.” “The apostolic fathers never made use of it in a physical way.”
Exodus 20:4 you shall not make for yourself a carved image -any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. ….
When pulpits are used to indoctrination others into their denominational beliefs, it’s time to stop going to these churches…
Sorry, but your repetitive comments on the use of the cross, overshadowed your teaching on love…and for those that did not notice, is because they have been conditioned to accept it as a false biblical norm.
