Our roof is still leaking.

- We had a storm come by and unfortunately we still have some leaking. We did have a great moment at Longhorn Lesters where we were able to eat some great food that Jami cooked and take HOT showers! Now we have some more work to tackle to keep this house dry.

I am a little teary eyed thinking about all that y'all have had to deal with on the hill but then I think about how your whole family comes together to help one another. I think about how much harder it would have been if Lester hadn't bought the tractors which have helped everyone, and about Pawpaw and Kim helping with generators and cooking. I am so glad you all have each other not a lot of families come together like y'alls have. One more day down and you are getting closer to having power. Buddy take it easy no more scares with the heat and Stephanie keep him in line. LOL. Sending you prayers and hugs from Tennessee. Love you guys and thank you for letting us be a part of your lives.

Paw Paw has an ionizer he used after the flood. Asks if you can use it in your craft room because it will kill all the germs. Just take one day at a time, you will make it. Glad you had a few hours of food and a shower at Lester & Jami’s house.

I live in southern Virginia and we are prone to hurricanes as well and I know what you’re going through but seeing Ellora and Luna passed out sleeping so peacefully makes you realize what life is all about. Log pile will be a new mouse "condo". Dad's wood pile always had lots of mice living in it and the barn cats would always congregate when he would load up on wood for the furnace! Thank you for sharing the good, bad and ugly.

I love how the Morrows on the Hills stick together during tribulation and somehow meet their needs in pauses and appreciate each other. Sorry that many, if not most, families aren't able to live that life, due to distance, lifestyle differences, etc. You guys are often on survival mode although you have managed to
financially sustain your lifestyle. It is tiring but you come up once more. I wish you had a calmer existence.

It is amazing how a disaster makes us appreciate the things we just do daily without thinking about it, like long warm or hot showers, and ac. Buddy and Steph, just know it is okay to take a few hours, half a day or a full day just to rest, decompress, and relax even when pressing things need to be done, it really does you body and mind good to do so. You two have really been balls to the wall since the flood, then all the driving to Montana (even though you got to enjoy some of it), then driving back, please take a day go to LHL or the JL and relax. Praying for y'all

As soon as you get power I'd get a couple dehumidifiers to dry all that out or you could get mold. When I had my leak from upstairs the plumber put holes in my ceiling to drain all the water. Good luck with the roof, bad things happen to good people. XX ♥
