Hi i am a new go karter and am looking into this model. I am not ready to race (yet) but i would like to use this kart to practice and learn. Anyways i will take it to tracks to practice but can i use it on say a parking lot or a non racing road (not on public roads). I can always buy bigger tires to raise it off the ground. But is this a good idea.

No front wheel hubs☹️ that sucks
The XR is Not race ready comes with the wrong gears using 17 front and 55 back with a cheap clutch the steering is out by 2 inches the rear bearing holders are lose the sprocket was sliding about the brake disk was sliding about all needed tightening brakes dont work u need to take the springs out the caliper for the brake to work . out the crate and not only do u have to put the plastics and steering wheel on u got to put the back wheels on that after it takes u 45 min to 1hr to un bolt and disassemble the frame its sitting in and when my friend brings the snipper around ill let u all no how bad the front wheels are kicked out almost forgot the tires suck they are to hard and have no grip and the kart is thrown together and not put together properly couldn't even get it around the hot track in waco no grip and steering is out. Now the gearing u want is 13 front 53 rear using a good clutch u want soft tires on it and u need to take that hard spring out and loosen the nut on the throttle a little for better throttle u need to lower the front bumper it sits to high and u need to take them stupid throttle cable adjusters off they dont do anything and the engine is a weak stock engine now replaced with a stock predator 212cc i got the cart this wensday and have tryed calling and nothing just voice mail
Top secret baja Thanks man, still think it’s worth buying? I was going to get this and put my Tillotson 212 hemi on it. Aside from the tires and gearing, did you have to spend any more money getting the cart ready? Is the geometry of the chassis all good and welds all good?

@@forza3943 i was pointing out 50mph isnt fast, most hire karts do 50mph. My kart is a 125cc tag kart, they also do shifterkarts and the 250cc superkarts which make mine seem slow.

U got that right its got the slowest take off ever cant even keep up on a track but if u put 13 front and 53 rear its a beast just make sure u getting full throttle and put 18lb valve springs in so u don't float the valves and put a predator 212cc with a honda pipe u good to go after u go over the kart and re adjust everything

yolo vang I know you commented this a year ago but the level of competitiveness between this and a margay chassis is drastically different I mean I like how bintelli karts are cheaper but margay, tonykart, intrepid etc is where it's at
My tony kart was £6500 including front brakes and powerball 125cc engine. I do get 34hp, and the kart only weights 145kg me included.

They are only around 1,5k which is pretty cheap for a gokart. Karting is very expensive, so i suggest you to race with rental karts for now.

Hello Duston. Thanks for commenting! These are not the Gatormoto karts... similar but not the same. GatorMoto karts had mild steel frames, these have chrome moly. In addition, many parts have been upgraded over the last few years since they were tagged as GatorMoto. We have a new line and body style that will be released next month as well. Andrew Jensen yeah my frame alone was $600. Once I get fully finished with my homemade built kart, I'm looking near $4.5K. It's a fun and great hobby so I don't mind investing money into it lol. I'll be running near the 50mph range hopefully. What are your specs? Thanks
