Amen! I live near a pusher district and nothing was better than seeing 4 GP38 or U18B's chugging up Duncan Hill belching smoke and fire. I sure miss those days. Everything now is two wide cabs that don't even sound like they are doing anything. Boring. Give me my 4 axles when the Southern had 4 in the front, 3 in the middle and 4 shoving on the rear. Love it!
Great video ! I remember CSX interchanging Ore Trains with Conrail at CP Field just outside of Downtown Pittsburgh around that time. It would arrive Glenwood with 7 or 8 units on the head end and they would cut 3 off and a Glenwood crew would get on and run around it and become the helper over Schenley. I watched it roar through Laughlin Jct several times making a run for Schenley. It would hit Laughlin going 30-35 but be down to a crawl in no time. Again, Nice video my friend
