This band truly has always been in my eyes one of the most talented group of musicians I’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing....the lyrics, the melodies, the bass lines, drums, just everything so in sync with everything else just pure musical art
I bought EGN when it came out in Aug '03. I was in high school and remember I was trying to find a way to travel on the other side of the country to see their first show.
Setlist: 0:15 That'll Be the Day 5:28 We Are the Few 11:24 A Better Place, A Better Time 18:14 Everything Went Numb 22:53 Moment of Silence 27:50 Moment of Violence 31:28 Point/Counterpoint 37:00 Here's to Life 43:10 "Here's a new song" 44:40 The Big Sleep
crazy to think that I was born about two weeks before Everything Goes Numb dropped, now 19 years later they're my favorite band. idk if there's a connection but its great either way
I’m pretty sure I recognize one of the kids in the front of the audience. Went went to high school about 40 min from Rutgers, he was the only person I knew who knew about them in 2003. Robbie Russo wherever you are thank you for showing me streetlight manifesto freshman year of higschool :)
Had some new timers behind me at the BOTAR show in Denver in '23. Heard them comment "everyone knows the lyrics!" Yeah brother, welcome to a Streetlight show!
Looks like Tomas Kalnoky, of course Josh Ansley on bass Paul Lowndes on drums, probably? Jamie Egan with the trumpet Mike Soprano on trombone? Jim Conti and Dan Ross with the saxophones
Just stumbled on this. I've never heard the "new song" at 43 mins in. Anybody know if this has a name or has ever been properly recorded? Can't believe it's my first time ever hearing it after following this band since its inception.
It looks like a school gymnasium, but it's probably not that. Try researching popular bands and where they first started, and maybe you'll run across it? Edit: Livingston College, Rutgers. I found it by watching another video from the opening band, Day by Day.
Tomas (vocals, guitar), Jamie (trumpet, vocals), and Josh (bass, vocals) had all been members of Catch 22 before quitting for different reasons and later creating Streetlight Manifesto.
Holy shit, Tom without his signature hat and shirt. What a rare sight to see!
Also, this was performed at my college! RU-RAH-RAH
Its nice knowing half of them stayed in the band after 19 years

their songs are masterpieces
Tomas Kalnoky will be remembered as one of the greats someday. Mark my words.
@@rectoplasmic4630 people really have no clue how crazy Streetlight actually is!

This show holds a special spot for me. Me and a group of friends proceeded to go to the next 6 shows. What a time that was

Why is Streetlight Manifesto so god damn good?? I’ve never herd a band as good as them before.
preach
First damn show but the crowd already knows the lyrics yup that’s streetlight fans alright
Some of them even knew "I'm Better Than You", so they've been fans since the early Catch 22 days
