These are the kind of videos I like to see because they’re fun to watch but they’re also meaningful you’re showing with the army does for us you’re showing how much hard work they all go through to protect their country. It’s just crazy to watch. I have a few family members that were in the army, and either retired from it and then some have passed away.

I graduated my basic fairy recently.
But it was one hell of an experience!
I remember fit to win.
I was one of the slowest runners and always struggled.
But somehow I managed to get through it very well.
It was definitely one of those moments that helped us work together more than before.
And I loved victory tower.
That’s when I realized I had a fear of heights…but shrugged it off because I easily bounded down the tower in like 3 push offs.
The net and ropes after, I did pretty good on.
I remember I was going on one of the ropes you had to hang on and pull yourself forward on and was almost done, the drill Seargant took one look at me and simply said that I looked bad ass.
And as a result, I got my picture taken I think, by the people who were recording our journey and all.
And oh goodness…I remember my nic!
It hard but I made it, barely, but I made it!
Honestly it was during the forge that I realized I had a fear of heights.
But I didn’t let that stop me for going through it.
It was definitely the hardest thing I had ever done in my entire life up to that point, but I made it through and I couldn’t be more proud of myself for it.
It was one of my most proudest moments of my life standing alongside my platoon mates despite all my struggles.
It was hard, but 💯% rewarding.
Soon, I'll probably be drafted for mandatory military service. I went to a shrink at least once a week for a year now and somedays I can barely get myself out of bed.
Got any advice?
@@CarcassticVulture make sure they know you’re history of that and see if they need to make accommodations.
If you’re having trouble with depression let them know so they accommodate.
Always ask questions no matter what.
Always put your best foot forward as best you can.
Try to be a good team member.
You don’t need to get involved in any drama while in.
But at least make sure to have at least one friend if possible in the bay.
Having someone to talk to helps.
If you have family or friends to write to, write.
In terms of getting through, I got through looking forward to food (aka chow) letters and sleep.
But always the food and sleep is something to look forward to.
All in all try to make it fun because it’s mostly how you see it.
They will provide help where you need it if you are struggling with depression and such as well.
At least they should anyway.
If you hurt yourself or find an injury do not be afraid to get it shout at sick call even if it takes all day -_-
You need to take care of yourself and always see about having at least one good friend to talk to.
And remember you are all going through the same thing.
And it’s all on y’all to do y’all’s best.
So be an active part of the team and PLAY to your STRENGTHS!!!
It’s one thing to work on what you struggle with.
But when it comes to formations and all the strategies stuff, do what you know to do best.
And let your platoon guide know what you think you’re best at so they can plan with that in mind.
I know this is a lot.
If you need to write it down to take with you, do so.
But remember you’re only as good as the whole team is.
It’s a team effort.
Put your best foot forward and good luck!

to let everyone know, i was there. ben came to our company during the victory tower segment and was climbing around on the equipment while the rest of us were training. this video is a really good one, but overall it doesnt show the actual life of soldiers, or even trainees. if anyone has any questions on the actual life during basic training, let me know and ill tell you.
If u have the time, i plan on joining the military and i would love to know what training is like from a soldier. Dont feel obligated. Thank you 🙏
