Light morning winds created some of the cleanest conditions we've seen this season! Lots of standup barrels, big wipeouts, and cleanup sets were on tap. I was there in the 80’s and the swell was maybe half this big and I nearly broke my neck. This is not a break for so-so surfers such as I was at the time.
So heavy and shallow!
This is such an awesome video! I love hearing the birds, horses (I think) and natural ocean sounds in here.

Great shots! Thank you. This place is so unusual. A sand bar looking beach break that can handle big, really big, swells, fairly consistent peak. The result is really hard breaking waves close to shore. This day looks like one of unusually high percentage (for this place) makeable waves.

great footage...nice edits. but i suggest leaving a few waves where we see the paddle in not just the drop...that way we see the swell the way the surfer sees it...we see the surfers position themselves...we see the effort it takes to catch the wave.
also, sometimes it really adds to the adrenaline if you stay with the wipeout on the really strong waves until the surfer pops up and begins to paddle again...we see the 'tombstoning' board...we feel the hold down...we see the violence of being caught inside.
your vids would be so much more powerful if you used these moments to your advantage.
Thanks for the feedback! We will work on incorporating longer clips that show the entire paddle and wipeouts start to finish.
I was going to write something similar! The footage is fantastic. Love the natural sound (no music), seeing the hold downs (1:04! and 1:10!). and after coming up, getting caught inside would make it that much better because it gives you more of a feel for what is going on. (But maybe the causal observer is not interested in that type of stuff???)

Hi love your footage but on nearly every wave it sounds like an overdub death scream of "Aahhhhhh!"
It would be better to use that scream on fewer occasions (gnarliest wipeouts)
However if thats the cry of a rare rainforest bird I stand corrected.

Amazing footage.. But please..Let's see a bit more of what's going on.. People magically appearing on a wave. Guys getting worked but you see nothing, WHERE DOES THE HOLD DOWN GO ?,. A surfer kicks out of a wave. Instead of seeing him scratch for the outside even for two seconds, he is edited out..do they get washed on the beach or get sucked out in the rip ?? Show us.. Otherwise fantastic surfers footage sounds.. thank u..
