      Hey Wil, good to hear from you, hope you are well. I just finished a Rampage installation video. I have a little more gray hair in the new video compared to this one!

    You could probably put the Rampage units in side by side with no mods, but you wouldn't have room to load two bikes at the same time unless they're no wider than the units (about 23").

    Hi broncomatt1 - yes, the installation includes rivet nuts that are embedded in the truck bed. So you slide it in, bolt it down, and do the opposite to remove it. There are options for ramp extensions and bigger winches that will allow you to use it in higher trucks.

    how well would it work in one of those big sprinter vans?

  • @Openroadoutfitters
    @Openroadoutfitters  Před 12 lety +2

    Works well in those - they have a tall opening, so you can load pretty much anything in them.

    Currently the unit retails for $2795. I sell it for less than that on my site at openroadoutfitters

    I've seen it done in pictures but haven't done it myself. You have to build a platform above the wheel wells, basically level with the top of the bed, to allow room for the bikes to sit side by side. I don't know if I'd feel comfortable doing that, but I know some have.

    Does it work with a truck bed that is 44” off the ground?

    • @Openroadoutfitters
      @Openroadoutfitters  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, that can be made to work. To reduce the load angle, Rampage would recommend that you install blocks under the front end of the unit. You could also bump up the the upgraded winch for a little more pulling power. They are pretty good about helping customers figure out exactly how to make it work.

    Curious about the weight limit on your gate tho.

    • @Openroadoutfitters
      @Openroadoutfitters  Před 3 lety +2

      Actually the tailgate does not have to bear any of the weight. The full load is on the Rampage frame.
