Honestly my favorite mission in the recent Battlefield games
So much improvement since the Top Gun 2 in NES ... this video still gives me the goosebumps.
I mostly do not like this mission cuz its not that realistic but still great
I like the detail in this mission how you only hear the explosion a little bit after the jets actually explode when you're destroying them on the runway.
Because it takes time for the sound waves to travel (just saying, not trying to make it seem like you're dumb) I was wondering the same thing too until I thought about it

Actually it's kinda unrealistic, since at 10000 plus feet in the air, you cannot hear the explosions at all. Unless you drop ordinance that weighs more than 5 tons. Even at the speed the sound was traveling.
The way they made this mission really got your blood pumping to the right pace to get you started. Makes me in the moment

One day my friend asked me a question: "what if one day, dragons from another dimension came and attacked human?" It was pretty stupid, but i showed him the Battlefield 3 "going hunting" mission, and then told him: "na we're gonna be fine, CUZ WE GOT JET FIGHTERS TO KICK ALL THOSE DRAGON ASSES.

This game still looks incredible! Asides from faces and water which look a little dated and janky, everything else still holds up quite well even 10 years later.

Best mission in the battlefield franchise
1. Their AWACS or ground controller called out a contact at 8 miles... that's extremely close for modern air combat and missiles would have been WELL within launching and ideal hit range for both Russian and US missiles. In real life they probably would've been going defensive right after launching from the carrier, or at least would have been looking to lock up a target and get ready for evasion ASAP. The fleet would've also been launching missiles at that kind of range.
2. When the dogfight starts, you can hear the machine guns AS the bullets are hitting the F-18's. In reality the bullets would've hit long before any sound of gunfire was heard.
3. I believe Russian Su-27's have 30mm cannons. That first salvo at the beginning of the dogfight would've trashed the jet and/or pilot(s)
4. Typically you dont use cannons at a target coming straight at you. It's extremely difficult to land rounds and even if you do you risk collision with their wreckage
5. F-18's can turn decently but not THAT good
6. You get no launch warning for heatseeking missiles. If you are getting a launch warning for an incoming missile, you need to use chaff, not flares.
7. This F-18 got hit with so many 30mm why is it not dead
8. Aircraft don't carry THAT many fox 2 missiles. Typically they would have 2-4. They don't carry many because these days air battles usually end before getting within visual range. You can see an AIM-120 AMRAAM on the F-18's wing which means it probably shouldn't have had more than four Fox 2 missiles.

This mission is really what got me interested in being an NFO.
I like your play style in this mission, you literally took your time aligned the nose aircraft aiming your gun whether the enemy crossing in your nose and switch to missile if they were in different angle.
This is by far my favourite mission in the game!

I honestly want a two seater jet in MP. Pilot gets cannons, while missiles and bombs are Wizzo's responsibility. That would be bad ass.

That's good to hear, No luck with the 7970 along with FSX and GTA 4 yet. I really hope AMD does come out with some official drivers soon. I'm able to play fsx fine, but there are bugs with the antiailsing and some other things. GTA 4 stutters like crazy, and antiaisling does not work as well. Enjoy the 7970 and thanks for the comment:)
Yes,i have the full version of fraps,but when i try to put the video together using windows movie maker 2.6 an error pops up at the end(don't remeber the messeage). Also i wanted to mention that when i recorded the fraps sometimes inside the game it lagged at some points,the fps dropped from 60 to 40-30 and then back to 60-61 steady. Do you want my PC specs in case something is wrong?

Well, I would not worry about the lagging in game. That's normal while recording with Fraps. I don't use Windows Movie Maker 2.6, but it might be a compatibility issue. I would highly suggest getting Sony Vegas Platinum Suite HD 11 for like 120 dollars. I don't really know what else to say. I wish I could be more help:)

Yeah, the campaign for BF3, while isn't that great, was still to play since the story is just you, a regular soldier, getting caught up in something big. Which is a shame they dumped all that in BF4.
Also liked the obvious inspiration of Generation Kill.
Because he hasn't reached the point in life were science splits into physics, chemistry, biology, and the other ones. This puts him comfortably in the elementary to middle school range.

Boiled Potato I believe in Real life, the pilot up front is on control of the guns(20mm) and the WSO(Weapon Systems Officer[Second Pilot]) is in control of heat seekers, laser designation, and bombing

an example, aim at the ground in Minecraft and I have 260 fps, I aim to the air and I have 600 fps? it works the same way in all the other games so it makes no sense why ''humans'' are spamming their ''rigs'' and play the same mission just to put it on youtube and compete with others about it. pathetic is the synchronising word for it.
