    As a south american, I have watched Estral all year so I can give a bit of insight (not that it matters much). The best example I can give is game 3 of finals. They stomped 3 teamfights in a row and couldn't get anything after them because they have no idea what a wave or objective is. I can see it already, G2's going to pull out the piss poor lane swap strat after Eastern teams had around a month-two months to prepare. BrokenBlade goes 0/7 in the first 10 minutes and they just lose because Hans somehow dies up top.

      Yes. Lets judge their entire multi year roster and team growth because they used a singular strat 4 times against weaker opponents lol. G2 is always a wild card; and its kind of impossible to judge their relative strength to other teams in other regions *because* they are so non standard. Also, lane swaps happened in lck and lpl, why is everyone forgetting that 😂.
      They pick sion TO die and get their jungler ahead. Knee capping the enemy jungler and top laner for the trade of getting your top laner in an ok spot? Eh... its a viable strat in niche circumstances.

      I don't think it has much to do with 'choking' or 'internationals'..its just that T1 may well be the best teamfighting team in the world but T1 doesn't have a good early game by any means nor is their scaling really top notch, they sometimes gap stopped this by picking double ranged bots (even through Renata/Bard) throwing the book at LPL teams, creating picks or taking over team fights and winning out - this never worked vs GenG who would just not show up to fights, scale and work the sidelanes..
      but LPL teams are really good at more standard early games and really good at team fights so they always got the better of GenG through the combination of those two things - they outfought objectives, won early games and otherwise still managed to match the scaling so it shut GenG down the entire way through
      the questions for me are: can T1 improve their early game to fight mid-games on even footing? can BLG avoid those mid-game fights vs T1? can GenG finally find a way to edge out leads in either early or late game vs teams on their level whose win con isn't as readable as T1s?

    Good list. Like the thought process on where you place teams. BLG's bot strength will be a big driving point with a weaker bot lane pool for teams. Only two teams they actually have to watchout there.
    GenG will have more difficulty out muscling teams on the solo side, but they do actually have real gameplans setup to aiding them. Team Liquid is similar in how they help these weaker points which bumps them up. FNC are terrible at it. G2 won't excel in lanes as easily in LEC. Smart team, but so much depends on this aspect. Mikyx and Caps did so much at worlds. Mikyx looking worse as of late so he must be in form. TES are not the smartest team either, but they are strong fighters. G2 can't match that based on what they showed in LEC. Should be a tier below at least with the chance to go up.

He plays hyper-agresssive (to his benefit or detriment) since that's what suits him and his team, not because he thinks he's immortal. When he's mechanically skilled enough to absorb pressure from multiple ganks and still come out even or ahead of the opposition then he's owed respect. Better than tryharding then falling flat when it comes down to the wire. Besides, not his fault that bruisers are underpowered as hell currently.

    I might be coping because I am a fan of T1 and Zeus is on my favourite players right now; but i feel like Zeus getting caught is something that is very overplayed and more so an accumulation of uncorrected overreactions. Like Caedrel saying that Zeus randomly gets solokilled in lane and is something that happens more often than it should, seems like recency bias, since it really only time frequently happened was in the Geng series. Another thing that one can observe is how it seems like all deaths in isolation are looked at as the same; where Zeus literally gets four/five manned and all one sees in Caedrel chat and from himself is CAUGHT. Of course Zeus has bad games/ serieses like the Game 5 against GenG Kiin, but the larger picture which should be more so the narrative is that throughout the season and playoffs Zeus probably was T1s best individual performer.

    Hot take: the finalist that was dropped to losers will have higher chances to win MSI than the one that sprinted through winners bracket. It happens all the time and will happen again: teams with more "stage practice" are usually the one that is ramping up the most, and you can only get more games if you drop to losers at some point. Time to observe + side select for game 1 is such a meme advantage for a team that is going to finals from upper bracket. But it is hard to give more anything other without making bo5 too advantageous to winners side. Maybe more games with more a side selection privilege?

    I don’t understand the TES hate. They went 6-1 against JDG and played a 5 game series against BLG in upperbracket final. Their final might not have been amazing but it looks like that’s what he’s basing his take on. TES is a good team and they are not easily caught off guard by some lane swap by G2. TES is still such a strong team and caedrel thinking G2 is even remotely close seems sooo ridiculous to me

    • @ksjsjhss3475
      @ksjsjhss3475 Před 26 dny

      thats because JDG is fucking dogshit, and thats LPL's 3rd best team, like ruler kanavi is very far away from their 2023 form and flandre is so fucking trash, I can understand people saying TES should be weakest out of 4 eastern teams but yea they would demolish G2 for sure, unless tian shits the bed

    • @santiago4444
      @santiago4444 Před 26 dny

      when it comes to Europe caedrel is too unbiased. TES would stomp G2 in a bo5 and it wouldn't be close. It's always the same every year, G2 gets overhyped -> they are doing great in scrims and they do decent in some matches > they get hyper stomped when it really matters
      it won't be any different this year, there are some players in G2 that can't keep up with the east level sadly

      The final did not look close at all. TES looked to BLG like JDG looked to TES. TeS are just an historically inconsistent team in internationals. You can totally get why Caedrel thinks they could lose to G2 despite the player difference.

    • @omarjafar846
      @omarjafar846 Před 26 dny

      Man honestly I was a huge TES fan back in 2022 when they played those banger series's vs JDG and qualified to worlds, my issue with them is that as an organization they're the KT of the LPL. No matter how good they look you can't discount the fact that they are liable to choke vs teams like fucking 2022 gam and fail to qualify.

    Waiting for Vedius to roast Caedrel for putting GenG in S tier. While I don't think they will choke super hard, they aren't making finals. Bot lane will get exposed, Kiin will be average and Chovy will TP into 5 and get caught. It is a story as long as time, GenG and international events don't work because they forget the type of team that was dominant in LCK and start trying to mold to the new meta last minute and get exposed. Can't wait to see it happen.
