The upside is that the isolation allows for spiritual growth but the downside is that you could easily lose your sanity... You might actually learn to love those who hate you or maybe you'll develop PTSD and struggle to sleep soundly? You perfectly encapsulated why therapy is a double-edged sword. Not only the fact that every therapist isn't a good therapist (I've spoken to plenty of them and also heard plenty of horror stories with therapist as opps) but that you only really ever hear the client's perspective on their issues and not necessarily the reality of their issues. It's rare especially now that people want the help that they say they want. No one goes to therapy to be held accountable for the choices they've made in life. It's giving clients a place to speak without being judged. I'm sorry sometimes hearing what you don't want to hear is the best wake up call to begin healing and growing.
