Can we PLEASE get a pro shot with this cast
YES! Filmed in this exact style.
I agree on that
@@MaxHechtman Agreed especially as the filmed trailer is done by Steam Motion & Sound
@@williamfairchild7439 It WAS them?! OMG! Hope they get hired for the job.
I would pay top dollar
Okay, you need to 100% film a ProShot of the show in its entirety in THIS EXACT CINEMATIC STYLE for all to see. Complete with those steadicam and crane shots, filming it in the Cinemascope aspect ratio, and yep, those "Over the Shoulder" Close-up shots, especially the ones during Sutton Foster's version of 'Til There Was You as seen here. All of this NEEDS to happen.
I HOPE they do. I would love to see it but I live in the UK!
@@ramandeepnijjar8281 Yeah I live in the UK as well
Yes!Yes!Yes!
You are so right, after its run it must go to DVD for the world to see.
Yes, please!!! I was lucky enough to be able to see the show today, because NYC isn't too far a trip for me, but there are millions upon millions who can't easily reach the East Coast (or even those in the area who simply can't afford the show). Once it's completed its Broadway run with Hugh and Sutton, when there are no worries about losing ticket sales or pirating, please bring a quality recording of this to the world! The magic of this show with this stellar cast should live on long after the curtains close!
We need a filmed version now!! Hugh Jackman is the first Harold who has anything approaching the charisma of Robert Preston. I need this to be filmed for posterity!!
Yep. Someone start a petition for them to hire STEAM Sound and Motion (who did actually filmed this reel and did the ProShots of Newsies and Love Never Dies) to film the show in its entirety in the exact same cinematic style of this reel before any of the main cast members leave.
If they didn’t slow the tempo down, sure
How about showing it on Public TV Great Performances? Then we could buy a video and the cast could get more royalties.
Sutton Foster’s rendition of Till There Was You is Magical!!
She NEVER fails to dazzle!
Give it the Tony already just wow.
Ask a 1,000 people who Sutton Foster is and you would be lucky if 100 people knew who she was. Ask 1,000 people who Katie Perry is and you would be lucky if you found 10 people who didn't know who she is. If you are on Broadway and far more talented then pop singers, the vast majority of people won't know who they are. Pretty much always been that way.
In all honesty, I have always looked at Sutton Foster as another Ethel Merman...loud singing. Then I hear that she can actually pull off a beautiful tune like "Till There Was You". I am impressed indeed!
@@sallyniemzyk6964 You should check out her rendition of I Get A Kick Out Of You from Anything Goes! She handles that one with a wonderful softness!
@@sallyniemzyk6964 Hello, I early Ethel Merman, such as "I Get a Kick Out of You" the 1934 version has a different quality, I think La Merm is better than Sutton in that 1, and La Merm hadn't developed that the stereotypical sound that emerged as she aged. Although I do like Ms. Foster in the title song from that show, "Anything Goes," as opposed to La Merm's original. Personally, as hard-working as talented as Sutton is I wish her voice had a more distinctive quality. My personal favorite of hers is "Astonishing" from "Little Women." Yes, she does get "loud" but she has lots of nuanced touches in that piece and I love the quality of her voice and acting.
I'm so blessed to have had the chance of seeing this live, Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are just magical, I love their chemistry and how they were just having so much fun on stage !
Finally got to see it live last night and it was amazing!
I've met Hugh in New York in February 2022! He's such a handsome and humble, polite and down-to-earth guy... that really was the cherry on top of the cake while spending ny vacay on the east coast! Although he was in a hurry, we made a photo together - thanks for being so nice to your fans, we appreciate it a lot! :)
What I wouldn't give to see this great cast in this great show!
@Hugh Jackman - Are there any seats available at all? I keep hearing it's sold out all summer long. .
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
The chemistry, the enthusiasm and the energy of this production is incredible! I’m so thankful that I was able to see such brilliant performers on Broadway.
agreed-it was two and a half hours of pure joy and I left the theater feeling so happy
I agree totally! Can't understand why it got shut out at the Tony Awards and received bad reviews from the New York Times and New York Post. Best Broadway show I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot!
Saw the show last month. It was magical. Mr. Jackman and Ms Foster are major talents on Broadway.
This was SO GOOD. The perfect show for my first Broadway experience. Hugh Jackman absolutely slayed the role with his charisma and boundless energy.
I never knew Sutton hitting that note was so beautiful.
Sounded like an alley cat being strangled.
Great Performances on PBS needs to air this.
We enjoyed every moment of this show last month!!! We got tickets when they finally went on sale June 2021!!!!
The best show of Brodway. HUGH JACKMAN amazing
Just booked ticket to NYC to see this. First Broadway play I'll have seen.
I am pleased to discover Hugh Jackman's theatrical talent, seeing him dance and sing after having identified him for years as Wolverine is a pleasant surprise! And what about Sutton Foster? Simply divine.
Wait...you JUST NOW discovered Jackman's "theatrical talent"?? Hugh's been on the stage for more than 25 years!!! Gaston, Joe Gillis, and Curly (Olivier Nomination!) ALL before he ever donned the Adamantium claws... THEN Billy Bigelow....a Tony for Boy From Oz, and an Emmy for hosting the Tonys (yeah, I know...that's confusing...). His own one-man show and musical review on the stage... Ummm...Les Miz? (Oscar and BAFTA nominations...) The Greatest Showman??? And now The Music man. Wolverine can sing and dance, baby!!
i'm very pleased you're no longer living under a rock
@@prismaticmarcus lol
Hugh Jackman is just perfection and Sutton Foster is just a cutie pie! There is something about her face and her smile that just oozes confidence and charm! These two amazing talented people together are just over the top fantastic!
She reminds me of Mary Tyler Moore around the mouth
Omg so much new footage!!! It feels like CHRISTMAS!! I love the show so much and I’ve talked to and befriend some of the AMAZING CAST!!! I’m coming back for the second time!! It’s my FAVORITE musical!! So grateful to The Music Man on Broadway!!
So absolutely impressive. I keep watching this over and over because it gives me goose bumps. Spectacular production. Love the cast and chemistry between Hugh and Sutton. Sutton Foster is my all time favorite performer. She's a trip threat, that shines on stage. Sutton is worthy of a Tony Award for every show she does. Sutton is awesome as Marion and her rendition of "Till There Was You" is magical. What a gorgeous voice Sutton has. Extraordinary talent!!! It was an honor meeting her in person at the Marquis Theater where she was doing the show Thoroughly Modern Mille. I knew Sutton would become a superstar!
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
I got to see THE MUSIC MAN ON BROADWAY on Saturday August 6th of this year!
It's such a great musical!
I saw this a few months ago after waiting for 2 years and it was amazing. Incredibly well done. They did change some of My White Knight but I thought Sutton did it beautifully. Hugh was incredibly charming. I think if you can see it you should. Classic Broadway and you leave feeling good
I was in the 4th row (a miracle of last minute ticket buying) this past Tuesday, and I had the Best Time Ever! Hugh and Sutton and the entire cast were perfect! And as luck would further have it, that was the night the show raised money for Broadway Cares! As a result, I was able to get a show poster signed by the entire cast... after watching the auction process raise nearly $20,000 (for 2 pairs of gloves plus a baton). Wow! What a night! Thank you all!
This makes me so incredibly happy
My brother and I got our parents tickets to see this play for Christmas last year, and while it wasn't cheap ($350 each for a Wednesday matinee in the balcony), they said it was the BEST Broadway show they had ever seen! Totally worth it!
I fell in love with this musical as a child when we watched a VHS of Robert Preston & Shirley Jones 💙
Thanks for your support. Where are you from
this is actually a dream cast.
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
Hugh Jackman is legend
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
I just recently discovered Sutton Foster by reading her memoir. What a talent! 🥰
Saw it last night. It was such a blast and a dream come true seeing Hugh Jackman live and the rest of the cast was amazing and I recognized many faces from some of my favorite shows and movies as well!
YESSS!!!! I'm going to New York to see my cousin this July, and apparently he's going to take me to my first broadway show and it's a surprise. I hope it's the music man, the show that got me into musical theatre. I'd be thrilled with any show tbh, but to see the music man on broadway with two of my favorite actors as the two leads would be a dream come true!
I’m so proud that I had the privilege of seeing this magnificent musical March 4, 2022, my birthday with my daughters. This show stayed with me for days. Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster deserve another Tony award!!
Saw it last night and it's not leaving my head anytime soon
If there’s a more likable person on Earth than Hugh Jackman I’ve not met them.
I LOVE SUTTON FOSTER
My daughter and I went to the last Wednesday matinee and even got to meet Hugh Jackman before the show at the backstage door. He stopped and spoke with us which I wasn't expecting. The show was incredible!
So much fun!!
May I just say I saw this recently and the entire cast SLAYED. It’s sooo good and Hugh and Sutton were having so much fun with it
just saw this yesterday live. probably one of the best live experiences I've had in my life.
Hugh and Sutton are just beaming with light and joy! I'd pay to see just that.
they are like that for the full 2.5 hours from start to finish of the show, filled ME with joy
It would be wonderful if those involved in this production would release a video of this cast so we, who cannot see this in person, can be able to see the show 🥰🥰🥰. 🌸
Ahhhh my favorite musical!!!! With the glorious Sutton Foster good god how wonderful!
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
Need a full filmed version for all to see now the show is done!
The BEST musical I’ve ever seen. We went to the 2:00 show (front row seats), had dinner, and got seats for the 8:00 show (10th row seats). I want to go again!
So you went twice In one day 😂
YOU NEED TO DROP AN ALBUM FOR THIS SPECIFIC CAST RNNN I NEED IT I BEG YOU
I’m sure Robert Preston would have been in the audience in sheer pride and admiration of the great tradition being produced by Jackman & Foster true Broadway magic.
Robert Preston's performance wiped Hugh Jackman off the map. And Barbara Cook the same.
I'm seeing the show in June
I so can't wait.
Wow! Thank you so much. I never knew this existed. Meredith Willson and Robert Preston would be so happy. Standing ovation and bravo!!
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
As I said before he is a star that shines on stage with his skills in acting , singing and dancing as well as his partner Sutton Foster , both of them matches so well ….they are really talented stars with an excellent stage management…..
I’m playing miss.Paroo in my school show I’m super excited and blessed! Anybody have any tips on the character?
This is my favorite show ever
Okay, that's it... I absolutely must get to NYC to see this.. Both of my loves, Hugh and Sutton in the SAME PRODUCTION!?! Their brilliance and abilities make this a must-see... I hope this MN girl can get there before this cast changes or closes. *sigh*
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
We saw it Friday night and it was incredible!! Very entertaining and the entire cast was great.
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
I always knew Hugh Jackman for his role as Wolverine, but color me surprised when I learned that he's actually a remarkable singer.
I won free tickets and saw it back when it was a week after opening and it was AMAZING!!! The cast was great the music everything my fav broadway show I’ve seen!! Wish I could see it again! One of the best days of my life I was so blessed ti see it. If you get the chance to see it please do!
Hugh Jackman is so talented and has the triple talent of being able to sing, dance and act.
LOL. You mean, like nearly EVERYBODY in a Broadway musical?
He is a true showman and seems such a great guy but the weakness is his voice, only my opinion. Its too harsh and way too much vibrato.
Great show!
My all time favorite musical
My all time favourite musical is Half a Sixpence
Saw this in March. Loved it!!!! Sutton was the sassiest Marian I have ever seen. Such a pleasure, oh and Hugh was great too.
When I saw Hugh Jackman in " The Greatest Showman" my first thought was I bet he would do a great Harold Hill, turns out, Yes he does.
I LOVED how funny and sassy her Marian was
Too sassy. Way too sassy and modern. Marion is meant to be smart because she can see right through Harold Hill, but sassy, no. She's too sassy to believe in the story.
Damn. Foster can SING! I had no idea.
Wish they would bring that musical production to Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 with Hugh Jack an and Sutton Foster that would be brilliant
If this doesn’t lift your spirits you have serious problems.
Amen.
The best show of brodway
He seems like he will be very good and talented wasn’t expecting it
FINALLY, a good edited trailer for a broadway musical.
I like this way of acting.
That's very attractive.
We NEED a pro shot and a cast album STAT 😍
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
Sutton Foster is amazing. I wish shows she has been in were on video I only get to see bits and pieces since I can't get to roadway
Broadway!
What a perfect pairing!!
All I know is I would love to see this in person or on film. Loved the first one with Carolyn Jones and Robert Preston. I was enamored as a child.
I got to see this in person and oh my god it was amazing I really wish there was a recording so I could rewatch it
Seeing the show this week. Can’t wait!
Have so much fun i saw it was great!
Wonderful show!
Amazing
Robert Preston was THE GOAT.
I don’t need a full video of the performance…I require a full video of the performance. Make it happen!
Such a treat we got to to the last performance. Hugh Jackman/ Sutton Foster nailed it. Incredible performances ty
Yes please
The new version looks absolutely amazing!
Had the privilege to see it January, it was amazing!!!!! :D
A 3rd movie with Hugh Jackman/Sutton foster as leads would be great!
They are way too old to make this convincing on the big screen.
Living under the influence of NYC media, I've been aware of Sutton Foster's name for years.....all the TV promos for Broadway shows over the years that featured her.....then we saw Bunheads......wow!!!!
Looks great
We're doing the music man at my school this year I am so excited
I will pay how ever much money I need to to obtain a pro-shot of this cast!!
Congratulations on the Tony nominations. I wish I could cross the pond from France to see the show. Perhaps in Fall or Winter hopefully the original cast will be performing.
Hugh Jackman's first time on stage at age 14... he went to try out for The Music Man at school in Australia as one of the salesmen in the opening train number. Not knowing what was expected of him he learned ALL EIGHT parts! czcams.com/video/uzuq3DTv-PY/video.html
This was the first musical I ever did. I was in the ensemble when I was 8-years-old.
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
This was so damned good. The two of them were electrifying, they charged up the whole cast and the audience too, you could just feel it.
Just got back from the Jan 7 matinee. It was INCREDIBLE. I really hope there’s a filmed version somewhere
Hugh good hair cut!!
Saw Craig Bierko as Harold Hill, Rebecca Lukar as Marion, sometime in the ‘90s, it was phenomenal, and even better than I hoped it would be.
How is this one?
It is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-!-!-! And I mean EVERYONE in the cast. You need to see those Broadway debuts dance their feet off! The positive energy on stage is contagious! And you catch it even though you have to wear a mask in the theater (at least through June)
I was supposed to see this show last December, but everyone came down with COVID and the whole thing closed down. I’m glad all are now well and life moved forward!!
👏🏾🤩
What makes this work is the joy Hugh Jackman brings to the role.
Mr. Hugh...Is Our Modern Gene Kelly !!!!
Please please PLEASE film this!
I’d see anything with Sutton Foster.
Hugh Jackman is the best singer ever 🎶🎶
Thanks my super fan. Where are you from
i wish i could see this 😭😭
Sutton in the curled up hair was giving Gwen Verdon face is they need a stage retelling of her life with fantastic dance and singing
Oh man I would love to see that. Hugh Jackman lost a lot of weight for this part.
I really like the filmed EPK trailer for The Music Man on Broadway and I hope it does get recorded in a pro shot in this style for cinemas especially as the filmed trailer is done by Steam Motion & Sound who did the filmed performances of Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Concert, The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, Love Never Dies, Jesus Christ Superstar Live Arena Tour, Billy Elliot The Musical Live, Miss Saigon 25th Anniversary Performance, Newsies:The Broadway Musical, Kinky Boots:The Musical and 42nd Street:The Musical and the upcoming filmed performances of The Prince of Egypt, Aladdin, Waitress and Heathers The Musical
