She was very cute! Unfortunately, I have never seen any of her movies but I hear that she was good in all of them. Is it true that there are ice skating scenes in every one of her movies? I guess that was the studio's gimmick since she was a skating champion.
Her fame was massive & quite frightening saw a clip from newsreel footage from the documentary "Fame in the 20th Century." Don't know if its still around but Sonja Henie was the 1st & only real skating superstar. Packing stadiums around the world & mobs going wild rioting in the streets to see her wrecking cars, smashing through store glass & breaking police lines. Never seen anything like it. Guess that kind of fame had to be channeled into a movie career. Too much fame IMO.
