Ever since I uploaded the video about teaching English Online is a foreign language, what you guys have been asking me is how to get students on Preply after being accepted. Well in this video I will walk you through how you can gain yourself some students and start making money online.

My profile went live last Saturday, and I got bookings on Sunday and today is Thursday and I have had 3 trial lessons and they all came back to buy a package even students I haven’t taught yet bought packages, I am so happy and thankful❤️keep doing the Lords work. I have more than 6 students also waiting to have a trial lesson with me. Everyday I am getting emails. I am so happy

Hello again sis, I am from Cameroon so I am a French native speaker. Before discovering your video, I spent 3 weeks on preply without getting any student. I applied all your tips and what worked for me was a detailed message to a student. I explained her how I would help her learning French. Now I have my first trial lesson tomorrow and I’m so nervous. 1. I use my laptop so that my students can see the lessons, but I connect with my phone too for better quality picture and sound. So I use both.
2. Preply gives you material so I just take that and tailor it to a students needs or I use material outside Preply for certain students. ❤❤❤

Hello, thank you so much for the compliment. 🙏🏽🤗 Well with my students I am professional but not uptight. I like most of them to regard me as their friend that tutors them from a different part of the world. This works perfectly for the conversation students because you spend a lot of time just chatting so they are bound to know you “personally” if I could say and vice versa. The level of respect is still maintained but I never want them to feel like I’m too uptight. 🤗
Already teaching them online and not in person is a difficult task for some and yours is to make it less daunting. 🤗

Hi Yanelisa, thank you for the video. I do have a question, I've recently obtained my Tefl certificate via the teacher record platform however I need help/advice on my next move. If you could please share some tips on how to apply for a TEFL job using that platform when based in South Africa?

Hi Yanelisa, I’ve been teaching on Preply for 2 weeks now and I’m getting a lot of bookings because my prices are low but my problem is, almost all of my lessons are trail lessons so I’ve been teaching for free and that is discouraging for me, teaching is tiring and time consuming so I guess my question is, should I stop accepting new students? What do I do my situation?

I want to change( UP the price) for an annoying trial student who hasn't booked for the 1st lesson with me yet (and I hope she doesnt)....I know how to up the price but what I dont know is...will the price change only happen if she clicks " accept". I don't wanna block her but I dont wanna continue teaching her too for a low rate- she is hard work
😂 I know those situations. Their price will only change if they accept dear. If they don't then their price will stay the same unfortunately 😏

I'm recently graduated from English language Major and I have been teching university students but under a tutor view. I don't know how to start teaching along. I do know that I'll like to use the communicative approach but I dont know my style or how can I creat my own style. Can someone recommend me how can I start? Like you I’m pretty new at this. How do you plan your lessons or where do you source material? The Preply lesson plans are a bit confusing for me… I find myself not having much to teach my students on besides general conversations.
Hello, I am glad I could help. 🤗 So for me it solely depends on the student. Some absolutely love the Preply material and some don’t. Some will provide me with the textbook they use at school, especially kids and I’ll use that as a guideline. Otherwise mostly my students will send me the stuff they’ve been doing on their own and we work with that.

Hello sthandwa sam, they don't require a TEFL but I would advise that you have one if you can.
For kids, I'd advise you have them. They definitely could make things better. I have the posters but I've never used them. I just use a clean monochrome colours.😍❤

Hey Lisa how do I change from 2$ to 5$ for new students without changing it for my regular students? I was not getting bookings untill I changed to 2$ now its too much bookings. I want to change back to 5$ as soon as possible. Thank you for your strategy of starting low its help.

I recently got accepted at Preply and I have over 46 views and my profile score is 83% but dololo bookings 😢. And profile position is 895 (wat does profile position actually mean?)

I've got over 10 000 views but my bookings don't match that at all, all I'm trying to say is, don't let that number scare or worry you. 😊 People are just window shopping. Improve your intro video and picture maybe to make sure atleast one stops and book. You'll get a booking soon no worries.
Profile position means where you appear in search. Mine also changes alot and I'm not sure what influences it alot but I know your availability is one of them. ❤

Hi Lady, hope you're well. Thanks to your advice I made some changes on my Preply account. I was approved last week someone but only starting teaching yesterday. So far 4 students have subcribes, all 4 my trials. I dropped my price to $3 but I'm inundated with bookings. I know you said you stayed for 10 students but was that 10 subscriptions or 10 bookings? I feel like I'm losing my mind with all these bookings

I think because they are now on the subscription mode and it’s secure you can increase it before 10 students. Test $5 or $6 and see if you can’t get some there. ❤️

Trial lessons are exhausting, and I am so scared and tired now because my calendar is green, green and now im just wondering where my regulars will find a slot if its filled with green.
It can be very stressful but be grateful that you have a chance to turn all your trial lessons to blue too. You will soon have it under control.
This means potential dollars for you sis. If you can I would suggest you open more hours to create space and then later close them if needed just to get through the greens and not miss the blues.❤️❤️❤️

You're welcome ❤️💯 I have headphones and earphones. I use earphones mostly because it's every quiet where I stay so it's no big deal.

Is it user friendly in terms of manouuvering around trying to find lesson plans/teaching material etc? I did go through demo lesson and stuff but just wanted to get your opinion. So I would like to know neh...if you were able to send message to student on Find student tab. Will it still be possible for you to send those students a massage, maybe sometime in the future to ask or introduce yourself to book a lesson with you? Is it allowed or the messages will clear when time goes when a student did not book you as a tutor?

Hello dear, I keep the price the same for my old students. The new prices only apply to my new students.
I found that it might scare my old students away. So I just keep their price as is.❤️
